I have been transacting commodity positions through RJO's Laura Taylor in Chicago for about a decade. Having had commodity experience for over fifty years, both as a broker and investor, I know I was indeed fortunate to have made Laura's acquaintance. Laura is always unfailingly thorough in her executions and follow-up. Her attitude is always helpful and positive; and when I call the desk, no matter the market activity, I know I will always get my trade executed in a timely fashion. Through RJO, Laura provides a broad array of services and research, which I can access whenever the time is right. Her emails always make me aware of major shifts in market activity and coincident margin changes. Laura is as good as it gets in allowing me to take advantage of the various opportunities that are always cropping up in the markets.

RJO has a proud history in the Commodities arena. RJO lives up to it's long history.I was a commodity broker for almost 40 years at a full service firm . I have been trading futures with RJ O’Brien for over 10 years. Some of the trading has been done on my own convictions as to where various commodities or indexes are headed. Some of the trading has been done based on programs that my broker, Laura Taylor has involved me in. I can say of a certainty that Laura is one of the best, very thorough and watches my back in a very volatile business. I can trade cheaper at other brokerage’s. But feel that RJO and Laura are worth the extra cost.

I have used several trading programs to auto trade futures with RJ O'Brien for many years now. And in that time, I have not had one issue with them. I love the fact that I do not have to know anything about futures as it is all done for me. I absolutely love my broker, Laura Taylor. I have never had such good service from anyone ever. I have held a number of accounts at RJ O'Brien for several years. The firm all the way around provides great service. I was impressed by the treatment the firm gave to the clients of MF Global during that fiasco. I was even more impressed how the firm treated employees coming over to RJO Futures from MF Global. That was a very stressful period for many and I saw how the firm stepped up...says a lot about the character of the company. Day-to-day, RJ Obrien operates very good systems. Of even more importance is the quality of the people and their accessability....from the traders, to the back office staff, to the night and help desks. I think this reflects a strong investment by the firm in all parts of the company. All in all, I think RJ O'Brien has done all it can to make for a great outcome for its clients.

I recently attended a Webinar on trading energy futures, presented by RJO Futures of Chicago. This was one of the best online seminars I have seen in recent memory. The presenter's use of visual aids (slides) was a linchpin to the success of the seminar, but much needs to be said of the presenter. His knowledge of the subject matter, and ability to deliver the information in a simple and credible manner, contributed greatly to the enjoyment of the learning process. Finally, this seminar was not the usual bait and sell piece seen in about 95% of the seminars now afloat in the financial space. Of course there was information suggestive of driving the viewer to RJ O'Brien and Co., but it was not intrusive in any sense. And the customary follow-up phone call was actually welcome in this case. This is a quality company, with much to offer anyone interested in trading futures.
