would give NO Stars if it was available! Customer service is horrible. You can leave a message, because they NEVER answer the phone, and they still do not call you back. How can this business claim to care about putting the customer first and following through on warranties. They don’t. They came to my house twice to look at the wood flooring that was lifting throughout the house, because they lost the paperwork the first time. I filed my claim with Meritage Homes in time, it was approved and I was left to deal with the contractor myself so Meritage could close out the claim. What! It’s been three plus months and I can’t get Weisenbaker to call me back. I left a message with Meritage and no call back. What is the deal with these businesses. This is ridiculous. My Attorney will reach them next.

The neighborhood is family friends with waterways, fountains, and trails for anyone wanted to go outside. Even though it is jot a gated community, it looks fairly safe for family and children. The seller Counselor is very nice and tries to work with you as much as possible to maximize incentives for house buying, even at hours outside their business times. I really appreciate the time that Phong (one of the Meritage homes counselor) spent so much time to help us out to ensure I got the home I wanted.

Not even worth a star, my mother in law is recently getting her house built, it's been about 9 months now and she has had nothing but problems. She has been on top of everything that is wrong with the house and they have yet to fix any of it! They are rude people and don't care, all she wants is to get a nice home that she's paying for.

Good place to live. I had seem other places but after looking inside the complex I decided to live here. Remarkable to say Susana was very important for my decision because her availability to help and answer very quickly any doubts and questions.

For those looking to buy a house at Meritage, look at the reviews on Meritage Houston Homes - 2.4 stars for a reason (their HQ in Houston). Worst experience in buying a home for the first time in Texas. Did not set the right expectations, not good customer service, lack of communication, name it all. Fake apologies is what it felt like when I was closing. The only good thing was the site building manager at my home.

We began our process of purchasing a house to be built few weeks back.  During the process, we were quite pleased with how everything was so easy; up until we signed the contract and gave our deposit.  We didn't realize all our questions were being answered very casually and when we came back to uphold them on their words, they completely denied what they had said.  On top of everything, we had no idea what the cost of designing our house would cost.  They want you to sign a contract and that is their main purpose, they don't give you any pricing on what the other expenses look like.  The sales person didn't tell us all the structural expenses would be.  He told us those items we were questioning were part of the design studio.  It was like walking into everything blindly!  Salesperson had informed us VERY CLEARLY, that one of the items were are requesting in our house was a freebie at the design studio because they had a special for free pick three items.  Not ONLY THAT, he told us one of the houses that just completed CHOSE the item as a freebie.  Lo and behold, we were told, that it is not so!  the item we were questioning was a structural option that our sales person needs to add and give us pricing for!   So we went back to salesperson to verify and he completely denied having told us any of the previously mentioned options.  We left their completely cheated and misinformed.  When we contacted management for help, they listened to the complain, and few minutes later the sales person called us again, completely denying having said anything as such and apologizing for any miscommunication.  But the truth of the matter is that there was no miscommunication, it was giving out FALSE information and than completely denying it.   This by all means is not acceptable.  Them feeling that apologizing for them not being knowledgeable of what their products and costs are not OKAY! Our first time buying/building a new home has turned in to a complete disappointment.  Even worse, we are not sure what else we have been misinformed about.

Meritage builds a quality home. Watch out for your tax burden to go up a year after you move in because when you closed it was calculated on unimproved land and you put your beautiful new home on it and greatly improved the taxable value of your property.

Horrible construction of houses. Multiple corners cut. Roofs leak, windows not sealed. Horrible property management too. Not worth the money.
