I just refinanced my home with River City Mortgage. I've owned a total of 3 homes thus far in my life and refinanced homes twice previously, so this is 6th time I've gone through the mortgage process and this was by far the most pleasant experience of all of them. I happened to want to refinance this spring and before I could even look into it I got a cold call from River City, so I agreed to discuss it with them. Adam came to my house in person to go over why I should choose River City, the benefits of the mortgage, how much I could save by rolling in some credit card debt. He is a very good salesman and I was very impressed by Adam so I agreed to consider it. I did some research on River City (majority of reviews were positive) and I also reached out to my existing mortgage company to see what they could do in terms of pricing. They were able to offer a more competitive rate and it seemed easier to just stick with what I knew so despite really liking River City, I politely declined their offer. River City, however, came back with an even better offer that beat my mortgage company's (and I truly wasn't expecting that - I had not previously encountered any sort of rate-bargaining with mortgages). So at that point I made the decision to move forward with River City. I was not disappointed. Throughout the entire process Adam was very communicative and very helpful. The whole refinance was incredibly smooth - the only hitch was trying to find an appraiser that didn't cost a fortune, which was in no way River City's fault, and Adam went out of his way to try and find me a better deal for that. He also managed to get the mortgage rate down even lower than the initially promised one before the closing. Once the appraisal was done it was a short time to closing. The entire process was stress-free for me, and that is extremely rare when financing a house. Highly recommend River City Mortgage!

This was an excellent choice for me and my family for a refi. Much more personal than the major online companies, apps, and ads. I worked with Jake Edwards and he came right out after just talking to them expressing interest. He went through all the terms and implications and everything was clear in just a few minutes. The whole process from call to close was a little over a month.

We was contacted by River City Mortgage about wanting to help us move away from an FHA loan, we currently had, to a conventional loan. We agreed to have some one come to our house and sat down and went over our options. We decide to at least pursue the possibility of getting away from the FHA loan and the PMI insurance that went with it. We contacted our current mortgage company, and told them we was talking to another company, and wanted to see if they wanted to try to match or beat River City's offer. We were told by our company that there was nothing they could do to help us move to a conventional loan, so we focused on River City and this opportunity. We worked with Jacob Giesler through the whole application process. He was great to work with and keep in constant communication with us. With his help, the whole process went very smoothly. We was able to get a lower interest rate, move to a conventional loan and got rid of the PMI insurance (which that alone will save us around $200 per month and $24,000 over a 10 year spand) We are thankful we decided to listen to what they had to say and go with them. I would definitely recommend River City Mortgage to anyone looking to buy a home or refinance.

This is my second refi with River City. The process is always smooth. I have worked with Rex on both and let me tell you that trust is one of the most important things to me when it comes to working with someone on finances. Rex has always been upfront and honest. I would highly recommend River City Mortgage. My experience working with Heather Witt in particular was great. From the very beginning Heather was very communicative and was very patient throughout the whole processes especially since this was the first time buying a home. However, what really stood out the most was how accommodating and understanding Heather was; especially since I was dealing with some family emergency and Heather made sure I didn't have to worry about flying back and forth to Cincinnati and arranged it so that I could be with family out of town even on a last minute notice. We originally financed our home last October through River City Mortgage, and although we hit a few snags in the process (we had just paid off our chapter 13), Ray Brousseau and Jeff Brousseau were both very thorough and patient (even when we may not have been). This July, Tim Fitzgerald reached out to us and recommended an FHA streamline refinance, which Ray had mentioned when we initially closed. Tim was able to cut our interest rate almost in half and add $100/month to our principle each month, while reducing our payment by $260/month.
