I am from Louisiana and was buying a car in Texas. I needed to get more money from my bank and you guys were part of the Co-Op credit union group with my personal bank. I was able to access my account and everyone was so helpful and knowledgeable. I was happy that everything was so easy to do.

    Response from the owner

Hi Victoria, On behalf of our Garland team, we are so happy that you are enjoying your experience with us! It has been a pleasure serving you and we look forward to more great experiences at R1. Please feel free to provide more feedback to let us know exactly what we are doing right!

service is terrible waits in drive thru are ridiculous! Waited 45 to make a simple deposit and it's not the first time this has happened employee Perla is not that friendly either when trying to help a customer.Maybe employees should be trained on better customer service and faster service. Never recommending anyone to this branch!

    Response from the owner

Hello Angie. We are sorry to hear about the wait and understand your frustrations. We would like to more about the situation you mentioned. Please send us an email with your contact information to [email protected]. We will have one of our Branch Directors reach out to investigate this matter further. We thank you for your patience and hope you have a great rest of your day.

I called their member services line to make absolutely sure that as a shared-branch member I could complete a transaction. When I got there, I asked the teller and he said, “sure, no problem.” After tapping away on his keyboard for about 5 minutes he said he can’t actually do what I needed. So, I sat in their lobby to look up some information versus going out in the rain to look things up sitting in my car. While I was looking up info on my phone another staff member asked me if the tellers had told me they couldn’t do what I needed and that if I were a member of that specific CU instead of a shared-branch member they would be able to help me. I politely told him I wouldn’t be opening an account at this institution ever for any reason.

    Response from the owner

Hi Addie, sorry you were not able to complete the transaction from your credit union with us. As we always try to help any shared branch member with their financial services sometimes we are restricted by the shared branch member's credit union on what all they will actually allow us to do. It is always a good idea to know exactly what your credit union will allow with shared branching before you visit a shared branch location. Thank you and have a great day.

GO TO ANOTHER CREDIT UNION!!!!! (UPDATE BELOW)I’ve been a member with them for 8 years now and it is my last year. I recommend you having a different account with another bank if you decide to finance anything with them because they will hold your money or collateral hostage!!! Even if you pay off your debt that you owe if you are not current on every other bill you will not have access to your money unless you get permission from them!!! UPDATE!!!! I emailed there social media team to see if they would be able to help me and I have yet to receive a response from them I believe they are only doing damage control and have no intention on working with me to resolve my issue.... I emailed them Jun 23 2018 and today is now July 7th 2018!!!!!!!

    Response from the owner

Hi Jonathan, sorry you are having difficulties. We would really like to assist you and help you get everything straitened out with your loan and account. Could you send us an email to [email protected] with the best way to reach you and a detailed description of the issue? We will forward it to your Member Services Department and someone will get in touch with you soon to get this fixed. 7/13/2018 - Hey Jonathan, we were just reviewing reviews again and noticed your update. We have the email you sent and are sorry about the delay (email was not being received and got blocked due to the info). We will have someone reach out to you so we can get you help with your accounts and you can discuss the issues. 7/13/2018 - We understand you have spoken to our member solutions dept. and resolved the issue. The document you requested is on the way.

I've been banking with Resource1 since age 18, over half my life, and never had a bad expirence. This banking institute has educated me on: 401ks to Cds, types of accounts (best beneficial to my needs), secured to personal loans, credit cards, and building credit. I still remember getting my first 500$ loan... associate took time to explain and make sure I understood process. "Mr. Kennedy", ill never forget my last name utterd from her lips, the first time in life I'd been giving that respect. I instantly wanted to put away my toys and become a man. Then 19 years old at fergerson/30 branch I knew this was my banking institute for life. Garland/ Centreville branch is the best! The associates at this location are best hands dwn, relize im not just a member im part of a family. Thank all you guys at Resource1 for helping me grow!

Hidden fees everywhere! They charge for the junk mail they send you. Stay away form them federal credit union. Rates seem good at first but I guarantee you be paying more in the hidden fees they tack on randomly. Worst customer service I’ve seen. Update: resource one fcu called me and personally apologized for their fees that I had to pay, they made it right. They understood that some some of their fees might have been hidden or at least not clearly spelled out. In the end, I was upset at first, but they did make everything right.

    Response from the owner

Hello, Travis. We appreciate you reaching out to us about this matter. We have seen your previous reviews and wanted to let you know our team is investigating your situation and will be contacting you soon. Thank you, and have a great day.

Just went in this branch for the first time; it's a shared branch with my credit union elsewhere. I was so disappointed with the service I received. No greeting, no offer of help when I'm on my toes trying to fill out the form I'd never seen before. She didn't thank me for coming in or wish me a good day. She also asked if I needed an envelope for the $1000 cash I got. That should have just been done! Teller 340 needs training in customer service! Nothing warn and friendly about this young lady.

The owner of this bank is a prick. Biggest P.O.S. I've never had the pleasure to meet. If i could rate this place 0 stars i would. How does he have my vehicle towed out of the parking lot when Im a member and my vehicle isnt abandoned or inoperable?! Im moving my accounts from this place and ill never do business with them again.

    Response from the owner

Hi Adrian! Thank you for taking the time to provide us with the feedback and we sincerely apologize that your car was towed. We love to have our members visit our branches but unfortunately when vehicles are parked for a day or more it creates issues where other members conducting transactions in the branch cannot park. We do need to have spaces available for all of our members, especially at the Garland location where parking is extremely limited. We try several means to contact the vehicle owners and give the owners 24 hours to move their vehicle before the towing is requested. Again we are really sorry your vehicle was towed.

This bank is great. I've been using them for years. Customer service is great, staff is helpful and friendly, and they don't have an entire department devoted to finding a way to fee you.
