We joined a Credit Union because we thought it'd make it easier to get their generally better rates on cars motorcycles & home loans. Turns out even if you have outstanding credit and are members they still stip (proof of income, proof of residence, etc) you like crazy. We refinanced our motorcycle and eventhough I have the same income from when I bought it they asked for proof of income, when I brought a pay stub they said they needed my offer letter, when I provided my offer letter they said they needed my pay plan. I guess a month of pay stubs and a letter saying my draw pay is on the 15th & last day of the month isn't enough to prove anything. We've also had multiple holds on our money for depositing too much in 1 day. And they've had to send my husband a new ATM card because information was stolen from their offices.

I really love Redwood Credit Union they really help you out when you need it.I have gotten car loans and other loans from them and they have the best interest rates out there.

While I understand customer service can be a moving target - RCU has its work cut out for them. Just got off the phone with a representative and really felt like I had intruded on her time. I received some advice from two other employees in person when I was there recently opening accounts for my kids. Finally got around to calling to take their advice. Her response was basically that the other employees were wrong and that for what I needed done I should just go online and figure it out myself. So on a different topic, I asked about the online messaging feature - since I tried that and have NEVER had an email back. (Like lots of others - I work and need to find alternate ways of doing personal business during business hours!) Her response - those messages only get answered if the people reviewing them feel that the service was used "appropriately". Wow. Just Wow.

Worst customer service. Couldn't login to my account and no one knew how to reset it. Still waiting to get it fixed.
