I just completed a refinance with Senior Mortgage Banker Charles Petruzzi and I could not be more pleased. From our initial contact, he was straight-forward with every aspect of our loan. Charles explained the process clearly up front and stayed in the loop with me through every step – Processing, Underwriting and Closing. I knew that if the loan ever fell off track, he would be right there to set things right. The team of professionals I worked with at Consumer Direct Mortgage, Justin and Jenny, were also exceptional. When information was requested, it was promptly reviewed, and I never had to send the same thing twice. We not only closed on time, but we closed early – all of this during a pandemic surge and the Christmas holiday! Even the notary praised Consumer Direct/First Bank – a first rate lender from start to finish. There are three things that, in my mind, set Charles apart and will probably make him my mortgage banker for life: 1. Two decades of mortgage and banking experience, 2. Communication and responsiveness (flawless) and 3. Promises kept. I give Charles my highest recommendation!

I went through the Costco program with consumer direct and received an awesome rate with low fees- no one could beat it! I refinanced my house many times over the course of 11 years. My rate dropped from original 5.625% (30 years) to the current 2.875% (20 years). My last three refinances I did with Consumer Direct Mortgage. It is the best mortgage company I ever dealt with. However, I would like to specifically give thanks to Charles Petruzzi, the loan originator. He repeatedly was able to give the best rates on the market and a lender credit to cover the refinance expenses. Charles is always available to answer questions or resolve the issues from the start to finish of the process (from application to the loan closing). He replies almost immediately at any time! My refinancing experience with Consumer Direct Mortgage through Dean Christopoul was super smooth. He proactively reached out to me and informed what is coming my way in terms of loan processes and paper works. He is super responsive in terms of communication and I am thankful for the association with Consumer Direct Mortgage.

I would strongly recommend against choosing Consumer Direct for your mortgage needs. Once they get you started on the process, they become very unresponsive, and the refinance took almost 90 days. During the final week closing was rescheduled multiple times because Consumer Direct did not provide the title company with the necessary documents. Even more alarming, there was a miscommunication between them and their title company, causing my home insurance to not get paid and become expired, causing the coverage on my house to be suspended. After about a week of calling (no answer, just a message about "voicemail being full") and emailing them, they resolved it (without input from me) by having the title company send me the check for the insurance company directly to me, so they could effectively wash their hands of it. I was able to overnight the check to my insurance company (at my own expense) with no issues, so I'm not sure what their problem was. I've done other refinances before with zero complaints. Consumer Direct is just a terrible experience compared to the others, and very unprofessional. There are many other mortgage companies with similar rates, there's no reason to risk financial disaster with this one.

Dean and his team at Real Genius Mortgage were really helpful throughout the loan process. Dean was very responsive to all emails, messages or phone calls and in clarifying all the questions that I had. Nate was made the process look simple. The final approval step took longer than others because of closer and title company conversations and it's normal I guess. I recommend Dean from Real Genius for your next mortgage, you can get best rate as I did compare with better.com, rocket mortgage, New American funding and couple of local banks.

Best rate, low fees and quick processing. Dean christopoul was my mortgage officer. He was involved in the process throughout and made sure we were making progress. The online portal is very user friendly and secure. The entire process was completed within a month.

I find CDMTG from Costco, and working with the loan officier Keven Marsh. He is much more than excellent. Comparing to my previous mortgage applciation experience, Kevin is professional, responsive, and considering all the possible secnario from my prospective rather than simpliy make the deal done. My processor is great, too. He helped me speed up the application process and make the approval happen significant faster compared to my friends' loan application happening around similar time. The loan rate is also super comparable as well as the closing cost, but not sure if the low cost is due to COSTCO program. Anyway, I strongly recommend ConsuderDirect Mortgage, and especailly my loan officier Kevin.
