Employees are always respectful and helpful! Very great credit union to work with as a student.

Be warned, auto-pay does not ensure a minimum payment is taken out each month on a credit card, even when it's set up to do so specifically. We set auto-pay to the minimum owed/month. For some reason not explained to me, only a partial amount was automatically deducted. I now owe a significant amount because of a technical error, or intentional deception (let's hope not), on the CU's part. I was offered no advice or plan on how to correct their error, instead being told to just pay manually. Probably time to find a new provider, with a more transparent practice and more helpful team.

Their services are slow. They don’t participate in PayPal or Apple Pay instant transfer service, even when the funds are secured and supposed to be available in your account in minutes. If you try to deposit a check from their app, they will put a hold on it unless you are a high teared member. They advertise you can do shared branching, but the options are very limited when moving/traveling. Do not open an account here!

Has awful rates for a credit union. They have awful customer service. They consistently make finance charges to your credit card no matter if payed on time or payed off. Consistent calls trying to sell BS services. I recommended finding a better finance center that knows customers are whats most important. PEFCU IS AWFUL!!!!!

Purdue Fed has been kind and generally great. I don't think this should stop you from banking with them, but they should step in when customers over use the change sorter while other customers wait.

I was having issues with my online banking portal which turned out to be a user error. Barbara S escalated my issue with the tech team and we got it fixed in a short amount of time. Barbara called me and emailed me every step of the way to ensure I was taken care of and was delightful to work with. She even called me back after a dropped call. I'm a happy camper now that the issue is resolved and Barbara was so wonderful I decided to go out of my way to leave a 5 star review. Barbara, you rock and thanks again!!

We joined PFCU when our careers took us to Lafayette in 1987. We moved from the area after retirement in 2012. We’re 100 miles away but continue banking with PFCU. Though we often visit Lafayette, most of our transactions now are electronic. It’s easy and financially rewarding.

My wife and I recently moved to Texas following our graduate studies at Purdue. I decided to switch to PEFCU from my old bank after seeing the excellent service that my wife was getting. I am pleased to say that making the move was the right choice. Even though we are far from West Lafayette, working with PEFCU has been very easy. I would highly recommend that alumni join PEFCU if you have not done so already, even if you are outside of Indiana.

Thank you for making online and phone banking so easy. I've been with PEFCU for over 15 years and haven't actually lived in West Lafayette for the last 7 years.

They love holding your money till they feel like they are ready to release it. My online bank at Varos account work faster and better than this bank.
