My family and I are fairly new to the island and we had no idea where we should take our vehicles to be serviced. A friend suggested Pre Owned Motors Cars for our safety inspection and well the rest is history. They also do vehicle maintenance and services. Everyone in the office is super nice and extra helpful!!! I had an issue Tuesday of last week and when I called to make an apt ( although they were very busy) Shane got me in early Friday morning. I was told it may take until Monday to diagnose because their schedule was so hectic. I was a little upset that I wouldn’t have my car all weekend but I knew it had to be done. Low and behold my phone rang Friday afternoon and it was Shane calling to tell me that they had diagnosed the problem, fixed it and let me know I could come pick up my car that evening. THEY WERE ANGELS!!! Best of all, it didn’t break my bank. Definitely recommend them to anyone who needs reliable service!

Buying a car from Pre-Owned Motor Cars Ltd was without a doubt the best car buying experience that I’ve had. After falling in love with a car that was a bit out of my price range, I was considering purchasing a vehicle from Facebook marketplace. When Shinjo followed up with me I let him know what I was thinking and instead of being pushy, unresponsive, or rude, he responded with some really helpful advice on how to make sure that I wasn’t being taken advantage of and that it was actually a good deal. I decided to go back in to speak with him in person and ended up with a thorough counseling session from Ryan, their GM and financing guru. I could sense that these guys were really looking out for my best interest, not just trying to win the sale. They told me everything I would need to know if I did want to buy a car off the marketplace, while also highlighting the advantages of working with them. Ultimately the advantages far outweighed the additional cost. Not only did they take care of all the registration details so you never have to go to the DMV, but they advised me on which insurance company to use, and the fastest path to paying off my loan. As a newcomer to the island I’m so grateful for these guys. I felt truly taken care of and looked after as a customer and I would recommend them to anyone!!

Firstly, I was impressed to find out (from the mechanic to whom Pre-owned sends incoming cars) that there is a standing instruction to fix whatever is wrong. Joe and Thomas were incredibly straightforward and easy to deal with. Within two weeks of the purchase I received the title and permanent registration; no need to go to DMV. I can go on raving about these guys But I suggest that if you’re in the market for a car you go down and experience it for yourself.

This place is as great as the reviews say it is. From the moment I drove in to their lot I was greeted by Thomas who was busy with another customer so he walked me in and had Daniel help me. While waiting for my info to come up Joe and Rhino would talk story with me. I've never been to a car dealership where everyone just talks to you like you're a part of their family. There were a couple of minor bumper parts on the car that were damaged (par for course with a used car), and they were very upfront with this. Rhino took the time to help me look up a part for the car I was buying and gave me advice on what to look for. Everyone at this location goes above and beyond, they gave me a great deal and I am beyond happy. I checked out a 2019 white Hundai Elantra online and never bought a pre-owned vehicle before. I met Ryan "Rhino" and went for a test drive. One thing that sold me is that my massage table fits perfectly in the trunk (as it didn't in other cars I looked at elsewhere). During the test drive Rhino pointed some of the safety features and was honest with the history of the vehicle as well. He took the time to help set up my phone. Ryan Kennedy assisted with the financing part and was very thorough and patient in answering my questions, concerns and explaining every detail to be sure I understood each document before siging my life away. I felt very comfortable during the process. It was effortless, even down to handling DMV issues and notifying my insurance company. They've taken every precaution to ensure the safety of customers and staff with social distancing, wearing masks and plexiglass on their desks. By far the BEST & SIMPLEST car buying experience we've ever had! Truly hassle free & no pressure! Literally took 5 minutes to do the pre approval application, and the very next morning Shinjo contacted us and got the ball rolling! They asked how much we were comfortable putting down and paying monthly and they worked with that. Within a half an hour Cornell called to let us know we could drive over from Hilo side to pick up our car. All staff were super friendly & professional! We got the car we wanted with an AMAZING interest rate! Much better than we expected to be honest! Paperwork & test drive took about half an hour. Shinjo even setup our insurance for us. Exactly as expected. I walked in asking for their cheapest car because I have bad credit and wanted to pay it out right. I was shown a 2012 ford fusion. All was normal, test drove it kicked a tire bought the car. They delivered on work they promised to do after the fact. Though scheduling this work was a little iffy. Once I bought the car they didn't wait on me haha and foot but that is understandable. If a sales person sells 10 cars a year, works their for 5 years, I don't think it's reasonable to expect them to be on call 24/7 for 50 people for the rest of their lives. Over all smooth. Rhino was a cool dude had some interesting stories to help with waiting for their mechanic team to check out stuff. I thing I would have preferred to be different was the inspection they do on all cars. I vaguely asked what oils were changed to see if I needed to check any of them, and I was told all fluids were brand new or in good condition. My breaks went out while I was going down hill (due to an electrical issue that I created playing with my inverter no fault of theirs) so I checked the break fluid and it was in bad condition. I wish the complete 30 point inspection was outlined if even just a pamphlet detailing the checks run so buyers know exactly what needs to be checked next. This is minor and easily overlooked by the pleasant attitude and the charm of the place and may be dueto my inexperience with vehicle ownership. 2 thumbs up. *since I cannot reply to you John I am editing my comment. Fact is, you can disagree with Firestone's diagnosis that is fine, but we paid your business twice, two different times to diagnosis it after Firestone did. You didn't even offer to make a wrong right that your mechanics messed up when "diagnosing" the first time. Infact, I was charged for the ignition switch being changed which was nearly $400. That was not the fix, yet that was the first diagnosis your mechanics made. We brought it back and was charged again for diagnostics full price, no discount to correct the shady mechanical work that was done. Then we're told by your business it will be another 600 to "fix it", because it was NEVER fixed after I paid for it the first time, still had the same starting issues. Nothing was fixed when we took it to another mechanics. You know what I was charged at a different repair shop with honest mechanics? $25 and the problem was FIXED that day. Your business is shady, your mechanics shady, Mark VERY shady. You can talk all the professional reply you want but fact still stands you way over charged me, never fixed the starting issues, and then tried to squeeze more money out of me instead of working out some deal. You run a dishonest business when it comes to your repair shop. I hope you sleep well knowing you took advantage of a single mom who had major surgery on my foot, and couldn't get around to my doctor appointments through out your "repairs". Karma comes back. I even more now highly do not recommend others doing business with your company after your reply trying to save face. Twenty five dollar fast fix elsewhere... and your business is dishonest and terrible mechanics. My car is running cherry now that a different repair shop fixed it for TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS. Unless you're going to give me a refund I have no reason to contact you. Such a shame I ever trusted your business to begin with. Don't get your car worked on at their repair shop. They are dishonest and did not fix the problem with my vehicle having starting issues AT ALL. They convinced me the ignition switch needed replaced after I was informed by Firestone I needed a replacement key for my damaged car key. So they squeeze an extra $400 out of me, didn't replace the damaged key after Mark said he was ordering the blank to make it. We took it back hoping they would correct their wrongs. Instead they told us it would cost $300 for a replacement key (lol), then charged us $150 for diagnostics for them to return saying the problem was my starter and that would cost an additional $600. These people are shady. We decided to take it to a different repair shop. If it was the starter, firestone would have fixed it. The mechanics here are a shady, Mark is shady, and the car salesman are rude. I'd avoid business at all costs with this dealership but definitely do not get your car repaired there. We asked to speak with Mark, which they replied that he doesn't work there anymore, how convenient! Or is just another lie out of this dishonest company.

This was the easiest car purchase that I've ever had. starting with Joe welcoming you and asking what brings you in, no hard push , makes you feel comfortable. Had been there a few months earlier just looking and he remembered me. The buying process was so smooth with Roger no paperwork to complete! (that's unheard of) before you know it you're buying a car. Ryan was super efficient and quick. All those guys are awesome!
