I worked with Dakota and had an awesome experience! As a first-time home buyer, I’m honestly not sure how I would’ve navigated the process without her (especially in this market). I initially didn’t fully understand how a brokerage for mortgages worked, but it worked really well! Dakota was able to get great rates and factor in credits to make sure I got the best overall deal! She was super quick and helpful with questions and ended up making a recommendation that really helped set me up for some renovations before move in. Anyway, Dakota is super cool and I felt like I got amazing, customized support through the whole process! Will be recommending her to anyone I know looking to buy a house!

I am not sure where I should begin on this review. I have known Dakota and David for just over 2 years now and have had the pleasure of working with both them in the title industry. I deal with a lot of lenders and mortgage companies on a daily basis but I knew exactly who I wanted to work with when it came time to purchase my home. I had been renting my house for the past 3.5 years from my dad. The home belong to my grandfather. He passed away in January and it was time for me to purchase. I emailed Dakota and ask if she would be willing to work with me during difficult time. Within a matter of a couple of days she was able to get me pre approved. We were in no hurry but with the interest rates on the rise, she was able to get me locked in at a good rate. I could not think of a more professional individual and or mortgage company. Dakota and Powell Home Mortgage are top notch! I can't "thank you" enough for making then purchase of my home a smooth one!

I had a great experience with Dakota! We just closed on my first house and couldn’t have had a better experience. When I first started to try and get pre-approved I talked to a larger out of state mortgage company and felt like I was being pressured into everything. I was referred to Dakota by my realtor and am so thankful for that. From the moment I reached out to her to inquire whether refinancing was even worth looking into for us, she went above and beyond with prompt responses and honest opinions. She quickly determined that it was definitely worth it for us to go through the refinancing process, and walked us through every step of the way. In the end, we ended up with a great rate and not only didn't have to bring any cash to closing, but we actually ended up getting some back after all was said and done, plus the incredible amount of money we will now save in interest payments over the shorter life of our loan. Dakota was the first, out of four other lenders, to get my mortgage app started. Two hours after a brief discussion by phone and she was pounding it out. Dakota was always quick but thorough, smart, great at communication and very polite. I would welcome working with Dakota in the future. Dakota was very helpful in my first home purchase! Buying a home is a big deal and can be quite overwhelming.
