We recently drove from the Chicago area to Kalahari Resorts in Wisconsin dells. As we were getting closer to our destination, the brakes on our car started failing. My husband's foot was going to the floor and he was having trouble stopping. Thankfully we made it safely to Kalahari. Later we found a huge puddle of brake fluid underneath the car. We contacted Portage Ford that evening and they said they could take a look at our car the next day, which was a Saturday. They gave us names for a towing company and the tow company responded quickly to us on Saturday morning and towed our car to Portage Ford. We got a call later that same day that our car was fixed and ready to be picked up. We are so thankful to Portage Ford for taking care of us while we were out of town and so quickly! They responded to us quickly and gave us the best service and care. I would highly recommend using this wonderful dealership!

This was the first time I didn't have oil drips on my garage floor after your oil change in 4 visits. I was pleasantly surprised. It is why I quit going to your service center. I'd told the service people in person about it, that cross members should be wiped off after draining oil to prevent dripping oil in my garage. This was a good experience and am happy with the service.

Had a small issue with brake lights. No appointment but got me in and fixed brake light and did a recall also. Fast, courteous and professional. Great service.

My experience with Portage Jeep was great. I experienced car trouble on my way to ski at Cascade. I made it to the parking lot, but I knew I wasn’t going to make it home. Called Portage Jeep. Staff was very helpful. They gave me number of tow company and said they could look at my Grand Cherokee as soon as it was towed in. Water pump it needed was backordered, but they found one in Baraboo. They had my vehicle repaired by the time I was done skiing. I had a friend drive me to the dealership. Staff even helped transfer all my gear from my friend’s car to mine! Bonus, even though my car was out of warranty they had Chrysler cover parts and labor and will reimburse me for the tow charge!! They took care of me like family. Happy ending to what could have been an expensive nightmare. I highly recommend Portage Ford/Jeep

We broke down on Saturday, July 2 around 12:00 (blown radiator on 2001 Tahoe on our way to vacation. Miraculously the service department and repair center got us in to be repaired and we were back on the road shortly after 2:00. To have a 21 yr old Tahoe radiator available and to get us in was unbelievable. Thank you Mark, technician, and parts department for getting us back on the road. Our bill was a bit of a shocker, but we are grateful for the service and help. Up north near Summit Lake enjoying our vacation.

I had been with hill Ford as long as I got my driver's license! And I moved with them to co ed cx! AND I was some what let down when the place was sold because of retirement! My god how fast time goes by! I just want to share that portage Ford has picked up where hill left off! And I am so thankful for that because my truck is my job and on a Saturday they did their best to keep me working and on NO notice! I am very happy with all that happened and in my favor!

I bought a vehicle here at a very decent price and the customer service was fair. The reason for my low rating is the service on my vehicle was anything but exceptional. I was offered my first 2 oil changes free and walking away with a couple hundred dollar bill for services performed that were not needed or addressed to me before performing them is not good business. I have since taken my business elsewhere that seems more honest.

Needed some service work done on my 2003 Lincoln limousine. Called Portage Ford. Talked to Mark Pietrzak and made an appointment to bring my car in. Brought my car in yesterday . Mark took the time to explain to me what my car needed and I'll be back to have them do the repairs.

Mark and Dave in the Service department were awesome. I had broke down while passing through from out of state. They got my truck right in to let me know the problem and when they found out it would be a few days to get the needed parts they gave me a ride to where I rented another truck to finish out my business in the state. Very helpful and honest guys. Did a very thorough inspection of the vehicle both before and after the repairs to insure I made it home safely. Both the service managers as well as the mechanics are men of integrity who take pride in there work. If I had to choose somewhere to break down this would be it.

I just purchased a 2017 dodge journey couldn't take it for a test drive cause there were things that they needed to fix before selling but was assured there were no problems seeing how it was a local trade and they did all the service work.when we got the call it was ready we got it,on the way home it sputtered a couple times but check engine light did not come on i have taken it back for them to look at it and they said without a check engine light on that there is not much they could do,so I got the service records for the car that has 74,000 miles on it and the spark plugs have not been changed, I looked up the vin on the car and found out that it does not have the platinum spark plugs so they should be changed every 30,000 miles I told them this and they didn't seem to concerned cause the check engine light didn't come on.

They worked to get me in on a day that worked best for me even though they were already full. Since I come from a long way it was greatly appreciated since I can't just run over quick to get service when needed.

My service person was very friendly and helpful. The mechanic good and he also found some other issues with my truck and fixed them. Only wish they had a vehicle washing machine to offer.

The staff - Mark and Melissa are awesome. The price gouging has gotten a little out of hand with lots of extra little charges added on. I guess gone are the days of preferred customers after buying a vehicle (or multiple over the years) are gone. Every man for himself. Sure miss the Hometown feel I've grown to love over the years!

I had bought my 2015 f150 platinum with 70k miles on it from portage ford. Got it home an hour away. I heard a noise and brought it back. Needed a water pump. The dealership took care of this which was awesome. Unfortunately the sunroof would not close a day or two later. Happened about 3 times. To and from the dealership 3 times for the sunroof. They got it to close and said it was "good to go". It kept happening and is still not right. At this point I'm out of luck apparently since I didn't buy a warranty because of the amount they wanted and the teuck only having 70k miles. Avoid these guys unless it's a new car. I purchased this vehicle not even a month ago. Disappointing.

You have brought your vehicle in twice and we have addressed your concerns at no cost to you both times. It is unfortunate that your review of our business is solely based on how much "free service" you can get from us. We have no problem working with you and reducing the cost on parts and labor to help resolve your issue but your sunroof does work, it just doesn't work as well or quickly as you would like. Terrible business. When you call to talk to someone about a problem you’re having their managers call you a liar, interrupt you, and just make excuses for their workers. Just a bunch of liars. One person will tell you one thing and someone else will tell you something completely different. Not to mention, when you call and someone tells you that they’ll call you back the next day and then you never hear from them again, but when you call them again they know about your problem and your vehicle but can’t come up with an actual reason on why they never called you back. Will never be doing business here again, tired of having nothing but issues and being treated terribly.

Sales department was typical stereotyped greasy salesman. Lying to us about cost of auto armor. Left us outside for hours in heat. Then paperwork was filled out incorrectly. The service department made everything they could right. Honoring verbal promises that sales tried to slip past. I would definitely bring vehicle here for service. I went to a third party car lot rather than stay with a ford dealership for my new platinum truck rather than buy from this dealership again.

I contacted the sales department and let them know what truck I was interested in and when I got there I was greeted by Joe who took me straight to the truck and in no time the paperwork was started. I did have a check engine light come on a few days later and contacted Dale in sales who told me to bring it asap. The diagnosis was quick and the service department was very clean and professional looking. I'm very satisfied with the quality of vehicles and people.

Service on our Buick - replaced all 4 brakes and replaced all 4 tires. Easy to make an appointment, work was completed timely and cost was fair comaratively. Only suggestion would be to "dress" the new tires. I'm sure the repair tech got his hands pretty dirty from the tire dressing on the old tires, which should tip him off that the customer likes the tires dressed.

Dropped off my truck Tuesday afternoon for a 9am appointment on Wednesday for a 30,000 mile service. Was hoping to pick up around noon, but no phone call until 4 asking where tool was to change tires. Called again at 4:30 to see if we would be able to pick up at all on Wednesday. Service called back at 4:55 and said was ready. Seems like an exceptionally long time for regular maintenance.

I had my oil changed on my Caravan on Saturday, Oct. 2. The service adviser was Russell Zimmerman; the Technician was Jeremy Morris. They did they jobs very well. Everything was done in good time, and I feel the job done was properly according to what they said they would do.
