Port Tobacco River Park Chapel Point Rd, Port Tobacco

Excellent place to see a mating pair of bald eagles and well maintained trails as well! Great for a quick hike or walk in the outdoors. I was fortunate to be the only one here while enjoying the park. Unfortunately there is bottle and cans along the tree line near the road and sole trails so please help my picking those up! Great for a quick stop on any journey to get out and stretch your legs. Also a breeding and nesting ground for great herons

A great and lovely park. This is park is for nature lovers! Their are paths that lead to the river. There is a pavilion right off the parking lot and binoculars so that you can look up I to the trees to seethe eagles. There are butterflies, bees and lots of other bugs. Please apply repellent before arriving to the park. Spraying chemicals at the park is discouraged as it is a detriment to the insect population. There are signs along the paths with information on native wildlife. If the bugs give you the freaks, I suggest wearing long pants and applying lemongrass or tea tree oil. And a hat is helpful if you've got one.

I grew up near here and never knew this park existed. It’s one of the nicest and quietest parks and has a lot of history. I met my son and his friends her as they were traveling to King George from Long Island did a picnic. There were picnic tables too! Very clean!

Nice quiet park. It seems to be well maintained. I am looking forward to spring and summer. There is an eagles nest in the area and a butterfly garden. It was February when I first visited this park, not the best time of year for butterflies and a lot birds.

Awesome walking trails, meadow is in regrowth, but was awesome before the cut, will be awesome again, observation deck for the bald eagle nest which is also live on you tube, pond and river area also trail to Port Tobacco historical courthouse. Great place for picnic outing and walk. Please dispose of trash appropriately and keep park clean.

Cool spot to take a short walk and see the eagles. Immediately saw two eagles right when we pulled into the parking lot. Lots of informational plaques. Dog friendly.

Very peaceful park for hiking/walking. Nice wide trails.

Beautiful, quiet park with well-maintained, wide trails. Great area to bring pets and children for an easy walk! Does tend to get muddy after the rain, however.
