PNC Bank Reviews

PNC Merritt Blvd Dundalk. I visited this bank earlier this evening, to make an auto- payment. When I arrived at the bank window the blind was drawn. It was 6:35pm and they had left for the day . The bank was to be open until 7pm. Signs were up displaying the weekly hours until 7pm. This completely derailed my intention. Employees I had asked regarding no one being there, they stated "they had gone at 5 pm, they walked, right by me." There was also a notice up showing that the closing time will change to 5pm on July 5th.

Have been with pnc for years love the bank but this particular location is horrible, arrived at 3:15, to deposit a check I have been waiting for almost an hour for someone to show up and assist me. Apparently this is a common theme here according to other employees in the store.

Before you read this... this is a review against PNC Bank in general. The folks at this branch are actually quite nice, and this is not a reflection of their work ethic. Horrible business practice from PNC Bank... We closed an account 3 weeks ago so that we could switch to Bank of America. We withdrew all of our funds when we closed the account because that's what you do when you close an account. You get your money back. As it turns out, anything that attempts to seek payment from that account will cause the account to be reopened. This means that PNC will reopen the account (without alerting you), pay the item (probably an automatic payment of some sort), and then charge you an overdraft fee. They will continue to leave the account open for an additional 30 days. They will continue to pay items on your behalf while piling up the overdraft fees. I'm furious. I've visited the branch TWICE to have the account closed, and now I'm on the phone with their overseas support. I'm calling the BBB and posting this on as many social media outlets as possible, too. It is called a "zombie account" and is probably the worst way a bank could possibly treat a customer. I'm sure it is in the fine print that you don't get to read when you're closing the account. The fine print wasn't shown to me, and I was just asked to sign on a Point-of-Sale terminal payment pad to finalize the closure. I'm beyond pissed. You can bet the BBB will be hearing from me. I have enough things to worry about than to worry about a greedy bank with an abysmal policy. I'll also be posting this on PNC's wall. And now their lovely overseas support hung up on me while I was waiting for 20 minutes..

I waited on hold to speak to a representative for roughly 25 minutes just for an employee to pick up the phone and hang it up. Super inconvenient during COVID to have to go to a branch to ask a simple question.

Great staff . Good location. Open 7days a week.

I arrive to the bank to get money before the weekend because the holiday and it's open but noone at the register. They have a sign saying will return obviously when it's at their convenience. This is how they operate and treat customers. Saying the bank is unprofessional is an understatement. This bank is trash as the people they hire.

I’d give them a zero if I could. Signed 2 checks over to my fiancé and he wasn’t able to cash them even though he has a few thousand in the account. He’s also been dealing with a loan manager who has done nothing to help him towards getting a house. She ran 6 hard inquiries on his credit and we still have no information to work towards our house

The branch failed to ever open at all even though it was posted as opening at 11am. The employee was seen leaving the branch 10 minutes prior to opening hours. Also failed to allow for customer notification via a sign stating otherwise. Many customers were inconvenienced. As a result, efforts made to resolve the problem remains unsatisfactory to customers affected by the mystery of the branch that failed to open.

The manager was very rude, and this is not the first time I have had this this type of experience with this branch.
