PNC Bank York Rd, Gettysburg

My girlfriend and I walked into both branches of PNC Bank in Gettysburg on 1.28.22. Both branches turned us away from opening new checking accounts. In both cases, either a teller or greeter said that we needed appointments. There were no clients in either of the banks and they did not seem to be busy. There were personal bankers just sitting around at their desk with no clients, nor were they on their phones. As a six figure depositor, and business owner, I am not use to being treated this poorly. I took my business elsewhere. I highly recommend Members First Credit union who took us immediately, was friendly and courteous, and answered all of our questions. We were in and out of the branch in less than 30 minutes.

This branch is awesome. I only think the rating is bad because who takes the time to rate a good bank. But if you have one bad day you tear everyone else down. Great bank great people.

So,I forgot my debit card at home and came here to withdraw cash from my account The teller named America tell me I need 2 forms of id and won’t service me In the past month I’ve withdrawn cash from a PNC in both Frederick and Perryville Md using only my drivers license So now I’m driving a vehicle with an empty tank praying I’ll make it home because America won’t let me withdraw my own $ Thanks America Update: I both called PNC and also physically spoke with Amanda Parsons at the Perryville branch and found out the protocol when a customer only has a drivers license is to ask for a signature and if it matches the one on the license, allow the customer to withdraw funds I guess America from the Gettysburg branch just wanted to be a stubborn obstinate obstacle to me that day Sad small woman Sad sad small woman

Worse customer service. The teller was rude, no wonder this bank has 1.9 rating..

I have been a customer of PNC for my business and personal banking for years. This specific PNC bank I try to avoid. For example today I sent my husband to get withdrawal slips for me. He was told after asking the teller for the slips that it is against policy to give withdrawal slips without actually withdrawing money. What?!?! Seriously?!?! Also, when I withdraw money, I am always asked what I am spending the money on. Maybe that is their policy also, but I am tired of being asked what I am doing with my own money. This is how I am treated at this specific branch. This is getting tiresome. Just wanted to share my experience.

Had to visit to fix issues with my account and grab multiple checks. The employees are super polite, greet you with a smile, and really go the extra mile to help you work through your issues.
