First I would like to say thanks to Laura and Julie, and also everyone else involved with securing my refinance. I really didn’t think they would make it happen but I was proven wrong, so I’ve edited my previous review as of today 9/2/20.. Knowing extra steps were involved and I’m sincerely appreciative of the extra steps you all put forth. This was somewhat of a mess in the beginning but the team their fulfilled their promise and made things happen which I can’t say nothing more than THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

I was very happy with all the services provided. All personnel I dealt with were helpful. Everyone responded within a day to any questions I had. The only thing I would suggest is to have a single contact person. I dealt with three different people questing financial information and information overlapped a few times. Also the email used in electronic signing of documents could be clearer in what is to be done. It appeared I needed to resubmit some financial info, but after talking with the contact was told do disregard that section.

Was my first time buying a property and thankfully I had an amazing team to work with. Cuau Sandoval was my mortgage officer and couldn't have been better. He was super helpful with all my questions, secured me the best rate I'd found given the continuously increasing rate market, and helped everything go smoothly. I dealt with a few other places as I was looking around and Cuau was easily the best. Platinum Home Mortgage Company team was very professional and knowledgeable and made my purchase process smooth. Four years ago I had had to refinances done with platinum mortgage and now I purchase a new home both times Kelly and his people were great! Kelly really tries to get you the best deal that works for you and is honest upfront about what the numbers will look like and those are pretty much the same numbers you will see on closing. I got a home 4 years ago through Bruce Biggers at platinum home mortgage. I’m currently trying to refi or sell my home due to divorce and I contacted Scott October 20 2021 looking for help. Scott called me back after I left message, told him my situation and he took all my information and said “I will call you back tomorrow”… it’s November 1st and I just got a call finally after 2 left messages, he (Scott) proceeded to ask me ALL the same questions he originally asked me as if he never talked to me. That upset me so I asked Scott if he didn’t want to help me or if he’s to busy to his EXACT reply.. “yes Eric actually I am to busy for you”. Regardless of how busy he may or may not be he’s HORRIBLE at his job and customer service is severely lacking. I would NEVER buy a home from PHM again and I will surely be spreading the word of how their associates conduct themselves

Art Lavelle was responsive, but his lie cost me thousands of dollars. I am a first time home buyer with excellent credit, so I wanted to take advantage of all possible down payment assistance programs. I specifically told Art Lavelle that was what I needed from my lender before I would commit to working with him and he told me something allong the lines of "I will look into that. " After we had put an offer on a house I asked him about starting paperwork for IDHA, which is a type of downpayment assistance program that phmc is certfied for. He told me "you are not eligible for IDHA because your income is too high, and using down payment assistance will hurt your chances of getting approved right now". I talked to a representative with the IDHA program and several other mortgage brokers that all informed me that information is not true. Also the way that he chose to calculate our income qualification was incorrect and I did meet the income standards. I chose not to apply for that form of downpayment assistance because there was a requirement that the property not be rented out. But, I know that there are other lenders that could have helped me recieve much more in downpayment assistance, because I talked to them ( bank of america, wintrust, blackhawk community credit union ). By the time I was already under contract it was too late to switch lenders. Mortgage brokers will say that they need to run your credit report to give you more information and that they will help you to maximize your down payment assistance but unless they immediately tell you specifically what programs they will help you apply for, it is just a lie. Art Lavelle lied to me and for that reason I am dissapointed with both him and Platinum Home Mortgage
