Robert is the best mortgage lending officer with whom I’ve ever dealt. He explained everything until I completely understood. He is conscientious. It’s not uncommon in business to call someone and get their voice mail. But what is uncommon is for that person to return the call within 24 hours. Most of my calls were returned that evening, and one of them came at 9:00 pm! It was as though he could empathize with my anxiety about the process of dealing with someone I did not know or had not even met. Those calls to Robert that weren’t returned that day or night were returned the following morning. Robert also took the time to analyze which type of loan would be better for us, a conventional or FHA, given that we plan to sell our home in three to five years and downsize. He emailed the analysis to me and explained his thinking in detail. Robert actually enjoys doing this for people. I’m not one to give low reviews but I would give this company a zero if I could. It literally takes about 3 hours to get through to someone and when you do they won’t let you explain what you need. They simply say they need to transfer you and will just do it while you are still talking. Then, 3 hours later someone else answers just to tell you that you were transferred to the wrong department. You are transferred again to a different department and who knows if it is even the one you need because again, they transfer you without listening to you. There is no accountability for the poor customer service and they simply don’t care.

Mr. Shapiro and his team are amazing! They kept me in the loop every step of the way, answered all of my questions promptly, and Mr. Shapiro even took my calls on his cell phone after hours. I felt they all went above and beyond! I couldn't me more satisfied or impressed. Mr. Shapiro is an honest, no-nonsense kind of guy and shoots you straight. I highly recommend him and Planet Home Lending. This is not our 1st experience with them and these are the reasons for that! If we need future mortgage services, we won't be looking anywhere else!
