Best pho on Argyle. The regular size is pretty big already, but the large is massive. Totally recommend the upgrade.

I was recommended to try the broken rice house special a long time ago and that’s the only meal that I get every time I go to Pho Loan. The meal itself is so good. You can’t go wrong with this dish, especially if you like pork. On my recent trip, I was very surprised that they have raised the price to $19! Yikes!

Excellent fresh Pho n shrimp 🍤 spring rolls

Went here during the mid summer festival. They have great Pho! We got a whole spread of spring rolls and coffee.

Ordered delivery from here and got a large pho. It was the size of a small and had barley any meat. I’ve had pho delivered by many other places, this is by far the worst. I did like the broth so I’ll give them a star for that.

Amazing, authentic Vietnamese Pho. Huge portions at great prices. Also a wide variety of menu items if you don't want Pho. HIGHLY recommend. 5-stars.

05/16/21: It’s been a few years since we visited Pho Loan. From what I remembered, the last time it was pretty good. This time was a different story. I’m giving this place 3/5 stars because of the benefit of the doubt and I would need to go again to reassess my review. Also, it’s COVID-19 times and most restaurants are struggling. The menu is extensive and covers a lot of Vietnamese foods from noodles, Banh mi, noodle soups, family style dishes, rice, stir fries, vegetarian, salads, seafood, different regional foods, etc. We went with some basics of fried VN egg rolls (Cha gio), pho with rare meat and beef meatballs (pho tai bo vien), and spicy beef noodle soup (bun bo Hue). The egg rolls came with a side of sweet chili sauce. The egg rolls were crispy, but very bland in my opinion. Fiancé liked them though. The tablespoon of pho broth I tried was good. Fiancé liked the pho, but said the meatballs were not good. My bun bo was a complete disappointment. There was way too much fermented shrimp paste (mam ruoc) and not enough lemongrass. The broth was cloudy and not flavorful. The beef was decent, but was skimpy. The cha (Vietnamese sausage/ham) was soft and squishy. The Vietnamese coriander (rau ram) was plentiful, which I like, but there wasn’t much cabbage or any shredded banana blossoms. Let’s just say later that afternoon I got sick and that bun bo did not last very long in my stomach.

A wait time but that's because my food was cooked to order. A different spin on shrimp fried rice, which included carrots, string beans and corn but very tasty. I will be visiting again.

Food arrived late and cold, and they were missing half our order. I called the restaurant, and the person at the restaurant told me it was sitting on the counter, but that she couldn't do anything and I had to call Grubhub. I spent 15 minutes on the phone with Grubhub trying to get a delivery driver to get our remaining bag just to find they were closed and the woman failed to inform me of that when I was told I had to call my own Grubhub delivery driver, probably because they didn't want to wait around. Did not appreciate being misled when I was trying to do all the work to fix their mistake. The food I got was cold and lackluster. Pass on this place.

Ordered Pho Tai and got sick immediately after eating it. Only ate half of it. Called the restaurant the next day and the owner said that she could not help me unless I went to a doctor and showed her the receipt for that. I didn't go to a doctor for food poisoning...I've had it before, know what it feels like, and I just let it pass. Things happen and that's okay but the way the owner handled it was completely rude, uncaring, and disrespectful. As I was asking her a follow up question for clarification she hung up the phone.

The Pho here is so good. I like it much better than other places I've tried. The pho come in small or large sizes but the small is a bowl size you'd get as the normal order at any other restaurant. The large is enough to have leftovers for the next day. The staff is very nice. My friend and I drive up from the south side just to eat at this cozy restaurant.

i am new in Chicago and i tried to find vietnamese traditional food. it was amazing when i had chance to eat Pho Filet in Pho Loan. it seems that everything made me satisfied such as delicous food, friendly waitress/waitor, clean restaurant... i will recommend my classmates to come and try soon!!!
