Peoples Bank Gross St, Marietta

This bank is the least customer focused bank and most mincing/distrusting of any financial institution in the area. Tell me if this situation makes you want to trust Peoples Bank with your money. In mineral wells, they purchased a small local bank/branch. They promised customers that service would be great and little disruption with the conversion..... They literally only stayed open maybe 1 month, then shut down the branch all together. We no longer have the convenience of our local bank because Peoples Bank wanted to buy and shut down another organization/Competition. This is disgusting and I hope that every customer that you acquired through this conversion leaves your organization and goes to a more trusting/fair/customer focused financial institution.

I have been doing business with them since 1979.

I'm sure there are good people here but their customer service is lacking very much. I was overdrawn after a check cleared I called and the employee told me that at 9am the manager comes in still have yet to receive a call. I'm putting my account in the neutral and switching to another bank immediately along with my wife because this isnt the first time it has happened to us.

Charged me a 17 dollar late fee for my car payment because THEY failed to open an account on two occasions to accept the payment. And I tried to pay 3 weeks early! Prime example of a large business taking advantage of customers. And I am a single mom of 2. I do NOT recommend doing business here. Will be refinancing my loan and closing my account as soon as possible. I use Chase Bank as my regular bank and can recommend them as a great bank!

The employees at this branch and super friendly! Other branches are closer but I still choose to go to this one. Decided to write this review after I was going through the drive through and seen one of the employees out feeding stray cats that live beside the building. That was nice to see : )

Opened checking and savings accounts here. They were nice enough but they didn't even give me a savings book to keep records. No starter checks at all. Just a paper with the routing number hand written on it.
