People's United Bank Hazard Ave, Enfield

This bank is horrible to work with. I had a mortgage payment coming out from the same checking for 10 years and suddenly one month to another they changed my account information. Supposedly the old information was supposed to still work but for some reason in October it did not, I spoke with a supervisor that was less than helpful... obviously there is an issue in the system that prevented the bank from recognizing the old banks ACH info. This was not communicated to me... And the only thing I was asking is communication if things change let me know ahead of time, now I paid my mortgage late for the first time ever because of this and I had no control or input. I had to pay the mortgage with funds that would have otherwise been invested earning money. I will be closing this account next year

Have been a 10+ year customer and have had the absolute worst experiences over the past year at this specific branch. In a day and age when it's more convneient to open an online bank account, the only reason I remained is for the human element and if there is an issue that arises you can work with your local branch. That doesn't exist here, the branch manager Lisa lacks 0 empathy and is extremely arrogant. My most recent interaction with her is the final straw as I will cancel my account which has provided 10+ years of guaranteed deposits every week. Open an account online or join one the many credit unions in the area.

They are magic workers!!!! They would work with you to solve issues!!!!!! Very patience!!!

Tried calling them for over an hour without being able to get anyone to answer the phone. The worst customer service I have ever experienced with a bank.

They had NO GAME PLAN in place!!!!!! 54 Hazard ave. (inside Stop & Shop) closed Sat June 12 for "lack of help" So I go to 49 Hazard ave & 4:20pm. 2 Tellers are working. One for drive-thru & other for lobby. Drive-thru teller apologizing profusely to the driver @ the window. 7 cars after that! 8 patrons ahead of me. NONE of the transactions completed in perhaps18 mins. Walked-out!! Looking for a NEW BANK ASAP!!!!!!!!!

I've been a customer since 1984, when I was 9. Since then, I've never considered changing banks. They financed my first and second houses and now hold custodial accounts for my daughter. You will receive exceptional service and be greeted like a friend.

I have been a customer for over 20 years and I have never had a problem with direct deposit. They tell you they will call and they never called now you can’t get through to talk to anyone.

Stop all this covid stuff you guys are making it hard to use the bank what happened to open 7 days a week
