Five Stars from start to finish! Everyone I worked with at Pennymac was knowledgeable, informative, and patient. Everything was unbelievably easy to navigate and when I did have questions, I never had to backtrack. Every person I spoke with could see the history of activity on my loan and was able to answer my questions quickly. I would highly recommend Pennymac.

PennyMac quickly responded with one of the best rates of the three companies that I had made inquiries with and was by far the most reasonable in terms of fees and lender costs. Once I was passed from the originator to a dedicated processor I was quickly given an easy list of documents to provide and was able to upload them directly on the website. Every went relatively quick and easily.

I enjoyed the middle and end. I didn't enjoy the initial phase. Unrealistic expectations were set by the person we spoke with and promises were made for the amount of refinance and equity we would receive and after we spent funds on the appraisal the amount was significantly less and was disappointing after spending money and not getting the results we were promised. Wish that we could have had better initial communication and may have had better experience. Would have likely consulted other financial institutes and gone with other options.

The re-fi process was very easy. We even made changes along the way, and they were received and processed immediately with our expected results. Everyone we contacted were always professional and knowledgeable and provided accurate and complete information in a very timely fashion. Very happy with the process. Thanks

Edna Gotay, who shepherded my loan application from early in the process to the end, provided superb customer service. He called or emailed me regularly to keep me updated on the status of the process, to ask for specific documents (and explain exactly what was needed) and to confirm details. He reassured me that the process was on track, and that I was doing all that I needed to be doing, and helped make sure not only that the loan closed in a timely fashion but that the final closing statement was exactly what I was expecting. The fact that there were no surprises or problems was due largely to Edna's help throughout the process. I would highly recommend PennyMac for the sort of refinancing/cash out loan that I took out with them.

Since I was already a PennyMac customer, my credit profile was not conditionally scrutinized for the type of mortgage refinance I applied for. This minimized a lot of potential back-and-forth headaches related to explaining credit details in order to obtain an approval. The closing process was actually pretty simple. Conveniently, closing took place at my residence and the amount due at closing was actually less than originally anticipated. So that was a very nice surprise. Joseph Hickson at PennyMac did a good job of providing accurate information to me and answering my questions promptly all the way to closing.

We were extremely happy with PennyMac. The loan process was made easy by Eric and Paul. They ensured our success by communicating often and doing so very clearly. The site was easy to navigate and it was a cinch to upload the required documents. The one frustrating thing was calling PennyMac. They require you to call a single number, where you get placed on hold and wind up leaving a message, that is not relayed to your loan officer.

John and Latasha were amazing. They walked me through every step of the process. Special thanks to Latasha who was kind on my best days and my worst days. Her customer service was outstanding and consistent. Her communication was thorough and she ALWAYS followed up.

Overall great experience from the application to closing! The team was professional, prompt and accurate from start to finish. This is the 2nd loan I’ve secured with Penny Mac and will continue to use them for future properties! Great job all around!
