PenFed Credit Union - No Member Services Fort St, Omaha

Opened a new savings account. Was going to transfer my bank of America checking, savings and auto loan. Had to beg to get an account when they would not validate my ID. Finally after 2 weeks of back and forth they opened an account when someone manually entered it. When I transferred money they locked me out of my account again to validate me. Called more times then I can remember. Never got any calls back. Left numerous messages. Even emailed the board of directors, what a joke and i got an automated response, generic reply. Worse customer service I've ever experienced. No one calls you back. They profile who they want thier members to be. Discrimination at its finest. No one should beg to have an account to keep their money. Closed my account... Worse bank and experience ever. Your better off with your money in a sock under a mattress then with penfed.

Our family has had an excellent experience with PenFed Credit Union. Their website is extremely user friendly and their Customer Service staff is probably the best I had dealt with in years. Their CD rates are also typically the best and that is a big help.

I was experiencing issues obtaining financing for my vehicle purchase. I have good credit (747 FICO), but my debt-to-income ratio was too high for some finance companies, despite having a perfect payment history. PenFed approved my application and offered me a lower interest rate and better payments than my other offers. I appreciated the fact that they reviewed my credit history as a whole, and not just a number on a screen. I would recommend my family and friends to PenFed because they seem to care about their customers. On top of that, they offer great rates!

Pen Fed offered the best rates of any company. The loan process was completed very quickly. Even after my signing they noticed I qualified for a lower rate and payment and adjusted my loan. I have not seen any other company do that for me. I am a single woman and most of my life I have had to pay the higher rates. For these reasons I highly recommend Pen Fed and will continue to do future business with them. Thank you, for caring about me and what I needed.

PedFed (MotoRefi) was great!! I was super shocked they were able to get my APR. down! So satisfied also refinanced my husbands vehicle.! Would definitely recommend!

PenFed Credit Union is a great company with low interest rates. They are willing to go the extra mile to make sure that their prospective customer's needs are met.

3/22/22: DO NOT GET LOANS HERE! I can tolerate long hold times and customer service representatives who conduct themselves in a manner of respect conducive to solve a customer's inquiry or concern, but my patience is growing extremely thin with this lender. I was approved for an auto loan and have yet to receive the check, yet Shenaz - one of varying PenFed supervisors - informed me a check would be overnighted and I would have tracking information today. No tracking information, no check, they don't wire money either, and I just spent another hour on the phone dealing with Louann - an Omaha based supervisor - who did absolutely nothing but question the integrity of my communications with Shenaz the previous day. I'm so appalled right now after speaking with Louann while resolving nothing I'm on the verge of going with a different lender. I'm out $2K so far, not counting the difference between APR rates of going with a new lender on this loan, including adding comprehensive coverage on a vehicle (at the direction of Shenaz at PenFed on 3/21) that can't even move right now because of varying stories one gets from varying PenFed employees after each call. At this point, it's becoming obvious this is a scam and not a legit credit union.

We have had several car loans at Penfed. Always the lowest rate and the best service. Help is just a phone call away. We have accounts and credit cards with them too. They were recommended by Clark Howard. We've been with them for years.

PenFed Credit Union refinanced my 2016 vehicle with a lower finance rate than my previous lender! The representatives were very friendly, helpful and professionally. So if you’re looking to refin your car for a better interest rate and lower monthly payment, give them a try. You won’t be disappointed!

Calling on Friday afternoon to follow-up application the customer service representative informed me she found my documents in card services and move them to loans. She did not stop there ask me to hold got underwriting on the line to review and call me on my fraud alert as well. Underwriting and her went above their call got my application approved and card in the mail within next 15 minutes. I will never complain being on hold again especially at PENFED Credt Union. Thank you for your great customer service to Military and Veterans families.

My experience with PenFed Credit Union was excellent. I applied for a debt consolidation loan over the phone and received and immediate approval. The customer service was very good and the loan representative was very polite and helpful. I would definitely recommend Penfed.

I've looking to get a different car or to refinance. Since capitol one don't refinance their own loans, I had to search and PenFed was the most reasonable offer.. quick responses and professional services by Terrence helped me in the transition... now I'm saving 200 a month and lower interest rates... and no early payments fees..

Great Credit Union! I have met with their member services people face-to-face, by phone, and by email (Yes, I am trouble), and each person has been easy to deal with, knowledgeable, and efficient. I would highly recommend PENFED.
