PenFed is a great Credit Union to be associated with. Their credit card has good interest rates and there is a choice of checking accounts. My credit score has gone up since I joined.

After online application for a CD said there was a problem with the application and I was referred to a number to call, the agent set up a second duplicated CD. When this was discovered there was no effort on PenFed's part to resolve this. I was expected to deal with the linked bank account on my own for any overdraft fees. Also, two promised call backs set up through online chat for specific times were more than 30 minutes delayed

They got me a good rate on my refinance, but customer service was severely lacking. People were unresponsive, rude, and generally didn't want to be bothered with assisting or explaining anything to someone not familiar with the refinance process. It was all about doing the bare minimum to get things done and over with and apparently their time is far more valuable than their customers. If you are frustrated or confused you can expect an attitude in response to your frustrations and poor communication between team members. If you call a phone number on am email chain that says to call the number or you need help and references a manager, you will get a tude because apparently not all departments can transfer calls and apparently customers are supposed to magically know the inner workings of PenFed. The only reason I didn't walk away from the company entirely is because of the food rate we received and the hope that moving forward things will be easier to communicate and manage.

Great customer service. Everyone is very professional and very helpful. They answer all questions and make sure you are comfortable with the answers. I DEFINITELY recommend Pen- Fed Credit Union and have already passed my experience to my family and friends. EXCEPTIONAL 😊!!!

The PenFed personnel are so friendly and knowledgeable. We had the pleasure of a very nice lady by the name of Donna. She was patient and very, very friendly. We are so happy we chose PenFed for our auto loan needs and will always consider them when we are in the market for a car loan. We liked PenFed so much that we opened up an account with them. I'm not sure I have ever been treated so fairly by another bank. PenFed Rocks!!

I received excellent service from the time Robin received my phone call until the time we ended it. It's been a long while since I last applied for a car loan from PenFed and you have enacted a totally user friendly process.

Pentagon Federal Credit Union has always been great to work with from regular checking and savings account to retirement accounts, and auto purchasing. I have never encountered an issue with them in over 20+ years. The representatives are pleasant and seem to enjoy what they do. The APR on accounts usually beats the market. Join if you can and see for yourself.

This used to be a great credit union. We are long time customers. However, they have changed their system so that young college age students are mired in their ridiculous system. The current system works only for people who have established incomes and accounts. It is a poor choice for helping twenty somethings develop good financial habits.

Excellent credit union! Very easy approval process and financing. Multiple options for new and used cars, I was able to finance older collectible car as well. Auto Saver option is amazing, but need some work on MSRP of cars. Overall great place and very helpful people, can't ask for more.

After being 'mis-served' by the 'big banks' who have proven to only serve their own needs and who chase, and create' fee based services, to the extent of ignoring their customers, We are changing to Penfed! They are highly competitive, quick to respond to customer needs and inquiries, and efficient in handling banking needs. The only question that remains is "WHY we waited so long to change!" The evil you know IS NOT the better option. Change is NOT painful, and when you're PAYING for mistreatment??, to NOT change is a shame! What a refreshing option to the brick and mortar banks who treat one as if they are expendable and an inconvenience!!

PenFed Credit Union is by far the best financial institution available. I have used PenFed for years with credit cards and loans and now I have left all other banking institutions and making PenFed my home for checking and savings as well. Something I should have done long ago! PenFed always looks out for it's customers and help them achieve their financial goals. Great Job PenFed!!!

PenFed Credit Union was fast and easy less then on month had my loan completed. Bank of America to 5 month finally I had had enough. Thank you Pen fast and easy.
