Bottom line is I would discourage a friend from investing with Peerstreet. In fact I would tell a friend to avoid Peerstreet. I'm really just hoping (fingers crossed) to get my money back. I have five loans that are one to two years past maturity. That's ONE TO TWO YEARS AFTER they were supposed to be COMPLETED. Some of my loans date back to 2018 and here I am in 2022 hoping to see some of it back. Not a good look. Some of those loans have not seen ANY interest payment since 2020.

Be very cautious of this company. They made several mistakes that delayed the loan. Then the rates went up the next day, an they increased my rate on there mess up. They will not work with you. They backed me into a corner. I will scream this from the rooftops. I will post this anywhere an everywhere I possibly can!

If I could give Peerstreet zero stars, I would. Invested $12,000 3 years ago. All four of my remaining investments are in default and have been for over 15 months. Do not invest your money with this company.

"If you accept this offer, a third-party investor will purchase your entire position for the price stated below"...... 18-month investment for 11% loss, PeerStreet is a joke!

Lock your account with no reason given - terrible Customer Support. Many failed investments do not return money in time. I do not recommend PeerStreet

We have been trying to get a payoff for 7 days at a title company and nobody will help or respond or answer calls or return emails They have effectively made my clients homeless and the servicing company is the rudest I have ever had the displeasure of working with. VERY poor customer service and completely indifferent.

I don't recommend this company. As an lender, depending on PS is the last thing you want to do. I have had more loans fall apart with them than any company or investor I have worked with. Save yourself the headache and avoid them at all cost. I only tried to continue with them because my Rep.

I really liked this when it came out and was happy, but just like the other comments below they are not doing a good job. Over a 1/3 of my current offers I had to take the buyout or they are in default and have been for a long time! I don't think I've made any money the last year with all the losses on here

Wow, I'm surprised at the negative reviews. I've been investing in PeerStreet since April 2017 with both a regular account and then an IRA in 2018. I have over $500K invested in PeerStreet and highly recommend it as an alternative investment vehicle if it suits your needs. Consider liquidity, which to me is the biggest drawback, taxes for regular accounts and other considerations. I use them as an alternative to bonds, CDs, etc. It allows me to invest aggressively in equities with the other portion of my portfolio. I work with two very reputable Financial Advisors one big, exclusive nationwide firm and a local boutique firm and they both looked into PeerStreet and think its a great idea. My returns are ~6.2% and 6.6% annual rate of return. Their calculated rate of return is spot on. . . not like Prosper or LendingClub. The investments, unlike some peer-to-peer lending platforms are backed by real assets (real estate). The real estate is diversified all over the country. Their customer service is awesome, even when you think they are a scammer when they call and you act crazy (really crazy). . . sorry Blake, no hard feelings! Attached are screenshots of my results including losses over the years. Again. . . highly recommended (if it suits your investing needs). Great company, great employees, great website, plenty of investment options. . . I never have cash sitting in my account not working for me. What's not to like?

Like so many have already stated their loan selection criteria is very bad. Out of 4 investments 1 paid off, 2 extended / renegotiated, and one in foreclosure. Also invested in other platforms over the same period and they were much tighter with their property selection with resulted in less options at times but in the end no foreclosures, no loan extensions and higher returns with better liquidity. Once my current investments run their course I will not invest on this platform again. I also highly recommend others to stay away.
