Pee Wee's Pawn Shop Lake Dr, Bessemer

Will not be doing buisness here anymore. I tried to pay my pawn in full except for a $1 on Saturday and the new manager couldn't figure it out. She said they system wouldn't allow her to even though I've done it with the District Manager multiple times. She explained I could pay part of the amount owed until my background check came back. I asked multiple times if it would add interest and she said no. I was told NO INTEREST would be added so I agreed to make a partial payment. Never got called about my background check. Called and asked about it today and never called back because they were too busy. Had to drive down and ask in person. Picked up my gun, paid the amount and got home and looked at my receipt and noticed the interest charge. Called the store and went down to explain. Manager refused to refund the interest charge. Refused to let me speak with the district manager and straight lied on the phone with her manager. I am infuriated and will be canceling my layaway tomorrow and disputing the charge at my bank.

The people that are running the place now are grate to deal with we have bought camping stuff and other things here and even did a pawn and got more that we thought and was able to get it back easy 😀 won't go anywhere else 😀

Very poor customer service. Seem them give drug addicts best price on garage and treat me like garage. They tried to get me 15 bulks today for a bike that cost over 200. I saw them give cracked head 50 for old dvds. Every time I go in there they low ball me.

In general, an ok store. Unfortunately a particular employee might just ruin the experience for you. Wishing to work with another employee who I've worked with numerous times I noticed they were busy and told the other employee (who was with a customer) that I was simplywaiting.. They're response was a very harsh "are you pawning or not that's a yes or no question. 'waiting'? What kind of answer is that." By no means was I disrupting flow of business or anything by patiently waiting and standing back observing the things for sale to deserve a response like that. After this statement was made the employee actually started laughing about it with the customer they were working with. I decided to take my business elsewhere immediately after that. It's amazing how a bad apple can ruin the whole batch.

They low balled me on price of two rifles I wanted to sell one browning a bolt composite stalker and a custom ar15dpms556 I'll never ever do business with them ever

Awful experience!!!!! I pawned here and went to get out and they charged me over $274 more than what they told me it was going to be to get out! They charged close to almost half!!!! I only got $550 out to begin with!! I will NEVER pawn here again! Very disappointing! They do not care about there customers only what they can gain period!! They are LIARS!!! They were caught using items that were in pawn!

I've done a good bit of business here since I moved to Bessemer, both pawning and buying. When I pawn something for a loan, I expect to get maybe half, or a little more than half, of what I could sell it for on craigslist. With that expectation, they've always given me what I needed. Some of their stuff is priced high on the sticker, but make an offer... I never pay sticker price at a pawn shop, except on brand new guns. Picked up a dirtbike helmet and riding jacket with armor for 50 bucks. They have a lot of guitar and bass gear, and tools. I've done business with a few other shops, and I never really feel like I'm getting a good deal. This shop loans me more for my guns than any other shop in Bessemer... and last time I was in there they had a couple brand new sccy 9mm for 200 bucks... which I thought was a damn good price for that gun.

Terrible I purchased a 270 Weatherby rifle there I should have checked it out first but didn't so partly my blame. I took the rifle back and the representative just fiddled around with it spraying WD40 on it. I'm poor and have done a good bit of business there however this will be my last at this location I was told I waited too long and to be fair I did. I called the store located in Pelham and explained my problem was referred to a reasonable gunsmith and offered a discount on my first purchase in that store why couldn't the other manager think of this.

Shane is the best! Hes the best employee they've had imo since I started shopping here about 7 or so years ago

A HORRIBLE place to shop! I just purchased a laptop here yesterday and went to turn it on again and it’s fried. I am VERY outraged after buying this from them. I will never go to this pawn shop again. If you want something that works don’t shop here.
