A super clean place to get a loan, sell some things, or pick up a needed item. They stock everything from tools and TV’s... to guitars and electronics... new and used guns, along with ammo and some accessories. Paula Vee and Jon are great to deal with and will treat you good! If you are in the area and need a short term loan, Pawn South is the place to come!

When I walked into this establishment Thursday around 4:30 PM the place was neat, tidy and well organized. Definitely smelled clean. The cases for items were clean and well organized with the item details and I could read the prices easily. Me and the boyfriend walked in just to pawn an ac unit to see how much etc but walked out happy customers that will come back soon. Definitely was satisfied. Our go to guy was Maurice. He was very well spoken and nice. So respectful as in to help us during the whole time we needed. He helped to get the ac into to check it etc. Also another staff member with dark hair with hair pulled up was very nice. Great customer service. We definitely will be checking out this place again. Thank you!

This is a really clean and organized pawn shop. I often come here to check out the great jewelry selection they have and im always received with a nice smile. Paula is great, she seriously goes above and beyond for customers.

I came to this location to sell my rifle and three handguns. From the moment I walked in I was greeted with a friendly “Hello, how can we help you !!” I felt at ease and had a great experience. They were very thorough and did a lot of research so they could make a best offer for my firearms. All and all I felt I got a good deal for my guns and left with some vacation money in my pocket so a win win all around.

Been doing business with Jon for a long time. He is and will continue to be a great asset to this store and will bring many new customers to the business. Always greets me when I walk through the door and provides excellent customer service.

I have been here numerous times buying and pawning items and the staff is very nice and easy to deal with. I come from Hampstead which is almost an hour drive for me to this pawn shop if i need to buy or pawn items, that's how great this place is. I have never had a bad experience. 5 star operation

As I live in Castle Hayne I drove past three other pawn shops and I must say the experience was informative and friendly. As well their sell/pawn price was not bottom dollar and their interest is cheaper than others I've used in the past. Thanks a lot guys. 👍👍

Same deal as one of the other customers. They have treated me like dirt the 3 times I've been in there. Why I went 3 times, i do not know but I was in a tight spot financially a few months back and had to pawn a lot of my things to come up with money for bills. This place was the biggest rip off and would not offer me anything reasonable for high quality items. Word of advice, take your items next door to Picasso Pawn, they always offered me 10-50$ more(depending on item) than Pawn South. Not everyone is junkies and even if some are, they are bringing you their possessions in hopes of a fair offer. This place by far does not give fair offers.

Don't go to pawn south on Dawson Street. Go to national pawn they are way better. Pawn south has lost it's way since under new management. I just don't feel the love when I go there anymore. But I've found a way better pawn shop to call home and patronize now... National Pawn! Formally known as Picasso Pawn. Go there, way better customer experience 💯

I went in there for the first time on yesterday7-6-2020. The customer service from Vee was amazing. I came back today looking for a laptop,7-7-020. I was able to get one plus meet with Paula Vargas and she was extremely helpful in assisting me with my purchase! Customer Service to me is always great when you see smiling faces when you walk through a business! I will continue to come back!

Paula is the best, she knew exactly where everything I wanted was and was able to help me find exactly what I was looking for in a timely manner. She was extremely professional with a great sense of humor. If pawn South has this caliber of employee working at all their stores my shopping elsewhere is over. That was the best customer service I have ever witnessed.

I had the best experience at Pawn South! It was my very first time in a pawn shop, and the staff was very helpful in finding me great deals within my price range. The store was very clean and had a wide selection of jewelry that I was looking for. I can't wait to visit again.

Very fair prices. Staff was super helpful and friendly. My only complaint was after my debit card was run, it was not handed back to me right then. That is not a good practice and can make people like me nervous. I don't think the employees are dishonest, I just want my card back right away. I will come back here again though.

Never had a problem here. Staff is the perfect balance of friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. Planning on picking up my first firearm from here soon after a nice conversation with them. Would definitely recommend!

Paula is very unprofessional . If she is a manager she needs to go thru training again she is disrespectful . She has a nice nasty way of dealing with the customers. Glad I had a chance to meet her before she was officially hired as the make up artist for my wedding. But far as the other associates in the store at the time they were awesome.

I recently bought a guitar from there that was unplayable. I didn't really expect the return to go smoothly seeing as how all sales are usually final, not only did they compensate me with a better guitar; they threw in a pack of guitar strings for free!!! The new management is awesome and I'll definitely be returning to show at my favorite pawn shop.

Here on vacation trying to find the best thing to surprise my fiancé, walked in and was instantly greeted from the friendly and attentive staff. Paula was very helpful and sweet when it came to helping me find the right ring for me! Josh the regional manager was extremely courteous and helpful when it came to explaining everything out to me and when it came to stretching the ring out alittle bit! I highly recommend this place!

Went in for a firearm transaction. Store was well laid out and very clean. Prices were all visibke and easy to read. The two ladies that helped me were extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. I highly recommend rhis place!

This store has the best prices on tools. I've bought mostly used but they do have some new tools to. A lot of times when I'm in there they hv 50% off. Ive bought tools for my me and my son and I even bought my neighbor a little drill so he would stop borrowin mine. I also got a new porter vable drill there w two batteries and a charger. I checked before I bought it and it was cheaper than anywhere. IF you want a tool - check there 1st. You'll be glad u did

This was my first time there .. I was greeted at the door with a genuine hellos .. this location was very well kept .. all items properly priced ... I was helped immediately after the current customer was finished .. the gentleman there was very knowledgeable of the item I purchased .. the value of his exceptional customer service is priceless.. I will return in the future and will gladly recommend this location to anyone who asks .. thank you for a great experience..
