Patelco Credit Union 2nd St, San Francisco

I’ve been a member with Patelco for over 5 years now. Both my mom and best friend have an account with them as well. We all love their customer service and products. I feel like they care about their members and don’t see us as dollar bills. This location always has friendly people, as well as the Noriega branch. Will definitely stay with them for many years to come :)

I had to change my review from one star to five after the way Patelco has handled a particular situation. During this pandemic, certain folks over at Patelco have taken actual care of me as a fellow human being and not just a member number. I can't say that about Chase, Capital One, the local/state/federal government and even members of my own family. To the people that really came through for me when the chips were down, thanks for having my back. You can look at my other reviews, I don't just give away five stars.

I've been a member since 1990. Over the years I've gone through many changes, some of them catastrophic. Whenever my finances were impacted I could count on the professional staff at Patelco to be there ready to help in any way possible.

These five stars are for the people at Patelco that really came through for me in a big way during this global pandemic. There are a few people in a couple of departments that have treated me like a fellow human being dealing with the surreal situation we all find ourselves in as opposed to just a member number. I'm humbled and incredibly grateful that they've taken the time out to actually look out for me in a time of absolute crisis. I wish there was another way I could express my gratitude but all I can do is say thank you.

Been with them for a long time and it has mostly all been done online. Years ago I got a truck loan that went smooth. Their banking website and bill pay is the best I have seen. I have no complaints.

I picked Patelco because they're local and I get the best interest with them. However, lately I've been having problems with deposits. The other tellers I used to deal with have left and now there are only two tellers. Unfortunately, this is the fourth time I've had a problem with deposits and the manager is aware of the problem. <br> Last time the woman teller refused to count the money, saying, "We don't have to." She put the money in the counter machine without checking and there was a discrepancy. It was later corrected by the manager but today I made a deposit and instead of verifying the cash I had, she looked away from me, ignored me and went through receipts of previous customers. I had to get the manager to count the money and verify what I had. I'm sorry to see such behavior at Patelco and I hope the situation improves. It's a good bank but the tellers should be trained better. I've only used the downtown location.

Great staff and on the spot service. After getting my wallet stolen, I came in to get a order new cc + debit card. It was maybe 15 mins, in and out for new permanent cards. No waiting for cards in the mail. They printed it out on the spot! Young lady named Xochitl helped me out. She was personable, warm, and efficient. Really great service. Thanks Xochitl xx

I was shopping for car loans. Checked with Patelco, Stanford Federal and Provident. Applied online. SFCU's response was immediate but the rate was high. Patelco responded in less than 30 min and offered me a compelling rate. I reached the branch, opened my account in less than 30 min. The staff and everything was pretty courteous.

They RIPPED me off $100 for a trial insurance that I was coerced into signing up BUT promised full refund, after the expiration of the 30-day trial period. She was so desperate to get my business so out of the goodness of my heart I decided to help her but again she never refunded my money. Very rude, unprofessional and DECEITFUL people and operation.

Staff here has always gone out of their way to help me!! You can join under many criteria and their rates for car loans are great. Super easy to refinance car rates if they drop also.
