ORNL Federal Credit Union US, Madisonville

I have been working with a representative from the Madisonville office named Adina and I could not be more pleased of the level of patience, friendliness and all around joy to work with she has been. I always tell people Chick-fil-A has the best customer service around but Adina has shown them up! She hands down has been amazing!!! I no longer live in the area and she has went above and beyond to make all my banking needs as easy as possible and being a member worth it!

Tried to have a conversation with one of their over-the-phone reps and she started telling me I was wrong about what I was saying and when I tried to explain she abruptly said “No!” And rudely disregarded what I was trying to tell her. Seems like everyone I’ve come into contact with there is just rude and hateful. I don’t think I’ll be banking with them much longer.

Very poor customer service!!! The Madisonville branch does not even deserve one star. We are new to the area. Spouse took off early two days now attempting to open a local primary checking account here. The first time we was turned down because we didn’t have an appointment. There was no other customers in the branch at the time. Next time I called ahead and asked if we could come in to open an account. I was told yes, as long as we was there by 4:30. I was there before 4:30 and received nothing but attitude again, and they refused to open an account for the second time. I can not express how rude the people are in this branch. We will be taking our money elsewhere!!!

The people in Madisonville’s bank are always so helpful and treat us like family.

We just opened checking and savings here! Very efficient and pleasant experience. We had an ORNl account previously for many years and they have always provided great service!

The bank manager was extremely rude! We were at this bank today, in the lobby. #3&4 inside the bank. The manager came out and told us we had to leave and go through the drive thru because they were only allowed 8 customers inside. Again , my husband and I were next in line for the teller. The third and forth person in the door. The manager wasn’t addressing the other 6 behind us. Not sure where this guy was hired from or where his degree is from but I hope it wasn’t in a financial background , because, again there were only 8 customers inside. And perhaps if there was more than one teller Inside to wait on their bank customers, people wouldn’t be inside long., and there was one lady working the outside teller window as well.. long lines and slow service. Poor poor customer service!! And yes, next time I go there it will be to close my savings account out and take my money to another bank, one that respects and values there customers.

I’ve always had issues with this branch whether it’s just unfriendliness, condescension, or out right ignoring you by staff when you walk in. However, today I had the best experience with Nick who made conversation, spoke to my kids, and made what would be a mundane transaction very pleasant. I’m glad they are adding some more people to staff or doing more with customer service training. I hope increase my rating with more experience like today.

one question here...HOW DO YOU GET THEM ON THE PHONE? I just spoke to their call center....NOT the branch itself....cannot seem to reach the branch in Madisonville, TN., and the call center individual knows very very little about the logistics of the rates, CU insurance, etc..I have TWO numbers, and they are BOTH the call center....????????what's up? I may change the rating IF I find out HOW I can reach the branch itself.

Best bank for our family and business. We've never had any issues.
