I attempted to refinance with two other brokerage companies before contacting Optimum First. These companies had an excellent web presence, but it was virtually impossible to reach someone to help. After failing to lock a couple of times and watching rates go up because of their unresponsiveness and unprofessionalism, I contacted Optimum First. Jarret Beach was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was easy to reach and quick to respond, whether by email, phone, or text. He was extremely knowledgeable and easily handled my specific case. He provided multiple options and surprised me with a consolidation option that I didn't know was possible. I’m not one that post reviews but in this case, I feel it’s worth my time as Magan Moore at Optimum First Mortgage made the process of refinancing so easy and seamless. In the past 15 odd years in purchasing homes, pre-pandemic era, we always worked with a mortgage broker we felt would give us that personable connection and trust. I’ve never met Magan, but I felt she did such a great job getting back to us right away and answering my calls and questions as if we had personally met. She also did an amazing job finding the rate and loan we were looking for, not giving me the run around like other online brokers. We had tried to refi last year with Better.com and the process was emotionally exhausting. We had several points of contact. Optimum felt like a small family run business. Also, I would not look any further because what other online personal mortgage broker will have your back with their Lifetime Rate Protection Guarantee, refinance with zero closing costs if interest rates drop over the course of the loan. I have refinanced my mortgage a few times, and Glen Lee is by far the best Loan Officer I have ever worked with. After having bad experiences with a family referral and even with a reputable bank (highest issue being unnecessary delays and mistakes that would result in increased fees/rates), I decided this time around I would be very thorough with finding a company and loan officer that could provide me with a great quote and hopefully a better overall experience. During my last Refi, I actually ended up choosing the reputable bank instead of Optimum First since I did not know much about the company. Even though it was bad decision on my end since I decided to refinance again, I am glad I finally gave Optimum First a shot. This time of course, I made sure I choose my loan officer instead of simply calling. After reading a vast amount of reviews for several loan officers, as well as from the BBB, I decided to email Glen Lee. I was very surprised how my experience with Glen worked out. Not because I slightly doubted all the great positive reviews, but mainly because of his high level of professionalism. He was on top of everything and very efficient. He even got be a great rate that my other options could not offer (I still went through the process of getting multiple quotes). I should note that I gave him a hard time in the beginning since I had gotten tired of being "understanding" with past loan officers when presented with reasons I thought were excuses. I first discovered this company via BankRate.Com as I was interested in doing a cash out refi to pay off credit card debt. I called and was connected with Rick Wall. Rick listened to my questions and concerns and provided clarity and comfort around the process. I started the application and later found out I had a mark on my credit report that was inaccurate. He advised on next steps to get it resolved and pro-actively worked with the credit bureau to remove the item (with letter in hand from the bureau I provided after calling and requesting it). He provided an update throughout the process and if I had a question during the process, Rick and his STELLAR team responded quickly and with understanding. He was patient and always responsive. Christmas came early!!!! Rick was able to assist with my cash out refi to consolidate some debt and get me caught up on the small disasters that continually pile up as a homeowner. With 5 kids running around, increasing costs for everything and a cut in overtime, I really thought I was going to lose my house. But Rick and his team never gave up on me. They made sure that as soon as I had proof that I was caught up on my current mortgage, the paperwork was on the way to the next step. A lesser team would have turned up their noses at my situation but not these guys. They kept me in the loop at every step and I really believe they deserve more than 5 stars. I have refinanced three (3) times with Lee Glenn. Everything has gone smoothly. If one submits all the paperwork on time Lee Glenn gets it done quickly. The three times I have refinanced took an average of three weeks. I uploaded all the documentation required to the portal/Platform provided by optimum financial with no issues. Lee Glenn has gained my trust and I have always obtained an excellent rate with very little cost. NO surprises , NO hidden fees and NO issues with our private information. The scheduling of the appraisal and the signing of the documents was quick and efficient. I am in Northern CA and Lee is in Southern CA , however, there is no issue with that so do not be afraid to do business remotely, with Optimum Mortgage/Lee Glenn. Lee will get you a good rate and it could save you thousands of dollars over the local guys. In short, I highly recommend Lee Glen from Optimum first Mortgage.
