Oportun Smith St, Perth Amboy

So I responded to a mail solicitation for a personal loan which came at a time I was considering one. Never heard of Oportun before. Did some research, it looked okay for me, so I applied online. Had trouble uploading my proof of income documents, so I decided to just go into one of their locations. I come from a retail background where the consumer's initial reaction upon entering the establishment can determine their readiness and desire to do business there. Well, I was immediately greeted by both staff members with a big warm hello. The place was immaculate, fresh and bright. I explained why I was there and immediately they started taking care of me. I had the good fortune to have been serviced by Catherine Estevez who handled the whole process with efficiency, professionalism and sincere courtesy. I did not get the name of her co-worker who assisted, but I came out of there thinking Oportun does a great job of training or that company was just lucky to get two individuals who really get customer service and doing their job gracefully well, despite the fact that I was not thrilled about the interest rate.

Excellent service. I would recommend Perth. Amboy store to anyone looking for a loan. If you can see Melanie Johnson, she is professional, courteous and made the experience wonderful !

I had such a positive experience here at Oportun of Perth amboy! Adonis and Idalia were beyond incredible they treated me like family! At first I was skeptical because I’ve never heard of the company but after coming in and speaking to the representatives at this location they explained everything in depth and shared their mission story and I was honestly moved. New Jersey needed a place like this to give opportunity’s to people like myself a long time ago!
