OneWest Bank Wilshire Blvd, Santa Monica

What a horrible experience I have had with One West Bank recently. I am a long term customer even when the bank was under First Federal Savings Bank. Most of the staff are helpful as they are remnants of the latter bank named above. However, those employed by One West Bank are cold hearted and there is no options to assist customers once they decline a request made by a customer. When you convey your frustration and believe you should move your accounts to another bank, they are quick to jump to this option of closing your accounts and sending you bank checks for you to deposit into another bank. They tell me I can no longer make wire transfers in US dollars unless I am physically present at the bank. My temporary situation does not allow me to do this.

My Mother and I are Very Happy with the Customer Service at this Bank. All of the staff have been quite helpful when things go wacky. Thank you for your service and kindness 💙🤗😘🙋

This location has exceptionally helpful and friendly staff for a brick-and-mortar bank. I always come in here for my non-e bank needs.

Mary has gone out of her way to help me achieve higher interest rates on my accounts.

They have messed me up 3 times over the last year. Two were just unfriendly policy positions that worked to my detriment. "Unfriendly" is the right word'. Today their ATM didn't return my card and didn't acknowledge my deposit. I specified giving me a receipt, but their ATM didn't give me one and didn't return my card. 25 minutes later the screen said it was "still processing". How long is someone expected to wait? I am very concerned I have lost both my deposit and my card. Can't believe they wouldn't have someone on duty to help with after-hour crises of their own creation. I needed my card back! I needed to use it tonight. Unforgivable. Hunting for a new bank tomorrow.

I use to keep a sizable checking and savings account at OneWest but that all changed when they began asking weird and strange security questions whenever I inquired about my accounts both online and by phone... I was asked security questions spanning 50 years of my life. I soon realized the questions they were asking could be found on any 'People-Finders' web page under my name.... So.. I wrote a letter to the OneWest President Mr. Ogilbee in Pasadena. I told him his Bank is NOT the NSA. No response - quickly closed my savings account.

this is the worst bank I have EVER experienced. My mother has accounts here and the customer service is absolutely outrageous. They froze her accounts because she could not go to the bank in person to sort something out. She is 98 years old! This place is AWFUL. Disrespectful, snooty and inflexible. DON'T EVER BANK THERE.
