We were approved for an unsecured loan. From the get go, we provided them with all documentation and made this clear. They had provided us with both an unsecured and secured options. We didn't want a secured loan, as it was just temporary, to get us through a brief time of tight finances. We voiced these things to them; told us everything was set to sign; set up an appointment, that they attempted to cancel on us, while we were in the parking lot; and then told us everything would take longer because they needed to search out more options that they could offer with secured loans. We again, tried to voice that we were disinterested in a secured loan. They seem disinterested in helping people and have extremely high interest rates (30%). Credit cards have better rates. Our credit isn't bad, and we were just approved for a refinance at 2.65% interest rate. This place is an unprofessional joke. If negative stars were an option, they would get a -10 stars. I've never dealt with such a poor and sleazy business. We're taking our business elsewhere. Word to the wise, just because an overall financial institution provides high ratings, doesn't mean that the individual branches produce those results. Look into your local financial branches, as well. That's one mistake that I'll never make again.

Nobody would recommend that you borrow money here. Super high interest. Pay for a loan of 1500 dollars. They even ask for car and house papers. Even call your work. It is a pure disaster. It is a super bad place for loans.👎👎👎👎👎👎

Not very good. They know you pay on time and you make credit with them, approve you for another loan then once you call the office you are denied. Took out a 3 year loan with them and it has been only a year and in two months i'm done paying, not only do I pay more than the minimum payment but I also pay extra every two weeks. Thought that this would make me have more credit with them, instead they make u believe you are approve MORE THAN ONCE then run your credit AGAIN when you call the office and tell you that you are not approve. Not happy with the customer service skills at all neither.

We acquired our loan by using the title to our vehicle. When finally paid off our loan, in full, we waited for our title. After over a month, we called the office 8n Northfield, Nj to ask about it. We were then informed that they had lost the title. This people so very unprofessional, when asked about how the managed to lose the title that should have been in our file, we were met with an attitude from the associate and the manager. These people we give you a super high interest rate and then catch an attitude with you when you pay your loan off early. It is just another thing in a long line of problems that we've had with this company. We will always tell anyone we know NOT to do business with One Main Financial. They are a scam, preying on poor people with no other option. If I could give a negative star I would.

Don’t even want to give one star but I have to in order to post this review. Horrible experience with this company. I received a quote which I accepted. Loan rep told me I could sign online on Friday but their program was not working. We made an apt for me to sign in the office on Monday. Upon start of closing, I find out they changed my interest rate, length of loan and payment. The rep acknowledged it was wrong and I sat there for an hour while the she tried to fix it. She was told by the regional manager that they would not honor the terms I was given by the rep. I called and left a message for the Regional Manager and never received a call back. Do not waste your time with this company. I was able to get a loan with a local company and close tomorrow. My interest rate is 7 % lower and a year less!

I don’t know why this company this calls your work place if they cannot reach you by phone within a few days and you have scheduled payments. I will be calling them on Monday. Not worth it, 0 stars. Go else where for a loan.

Worst experience ever. Told one thing by one person than another from a different person . Marlene never called me back, and when she did it was always some bs excuse. I did everything they asked me to do and she never called or sent me the final link I needed. I called and canceled my loan and explained about my poor customer service and they could have cared less. Must be a bunch of millennials working there bc I was treated so poorly and Mike was like oh well to bad. They suck!

Parent took a title loan of 3000 out against my car I purchased for $3G and put in 3600 more to fix! My Parent at this point only owed 1200.well He died & I spoke to an employee back when I realized he took this title loan out & explained he did this without my knowledge & what if he were to pass (bc he wasnt healthy) this csr went on & spoke to me nicely & said we more than likely would wipe the loan & bc they wouldn't take a 14yr old car. So today I brought in death cert bc now I have to switch it all over to my name before 4-1-21 & Insurance nothing cant be done without that title. So Steve explained that loan would be paid off which i stated no i didnt get the money i didnt spend it I'm not paying. Also he cant "legally" to the child of a Dead customer when his children spoke to the VA, THE EFFIN GOVERNMENT! & along w/all his banks! but 1 main has got it like that...theyre much more important. Thanks 1 Main for keeping on to a title for 1200 to the child of a dead parent without the understanding & being compassionate to wipe it so I can do the correct thing for insurances & dmv also thank you for saying you can call me once you find out bc obviously you're gonna have to reach out to the deceased...& not the daughter in front of your face who probably would have have worked it out...good luck... All CLIENTS CONSUMERS POTENTIAL CLIENTS dont use them AND read the reviews below I had feeling they were not going to care.

Cynthia did an excellent job of expediting my application for a second loan. I brought acceptable documentation of my income similar to my original loan, which enabled me to be approved in one short visit. It was a relief to walk away knowing that the funds would be credited to my bank the very next day.
