Application, submission was extremely easy fast and turn around time for deposit of funds was next day after approval. All documents were easy to understand, and someone is readily available to answer questions should you have any. If you apply get approved and change your mind it’s easy to cancel as well.

If your late a day they are calling you. As I write this I am five days late. Someone from the Long Island office called me and I told them I will be making a payment in the next two days. He insisted I set one up with him. I told him that will be okay. I will do it on my own. He goes and say no you have to do it now like if I didnt he was going to beat me up or something. After I told him Im a banking and I know the way he speakin to me is not professional. He said good bye and hung up. I'm filling a formal complaint with the better bureau and their main head quarter as well THE executive office. Oh I will not let this one go. The way he was talking as if I was not educated and have bad credit. 100% wrong

Even after my accident they didn't want to release the lien on a totaled vehicle! As if I wasn't going to finish off my payments.

Edit: Overall onemain isn’t a bad place to start if you need a loan. Obtaining the loan for me was nice and easy but the payoff part was a little bit of a struggle. In order to pay it off you need to contact the branch. With the Yonkers branch sometimes they don’t pick up, also they might say they’ll call you back and they don’t. Eventually, I was able to speak to someone named Stephanie. She was very nice and was able to help me right away. It seems the best time to reach them is before 12

I applied for loan with this company recently and they NEVER gave me an approval OR a denial. Weird huh? Instead they took my information and left me in the dark. I uploaded personal information and to this company took it, dropped my credit score, and never provided me with details about my application. I had to call another location of theirs and they told me I can only speak to someone at the branch I applied. The lady couldn't give me ANY details accept where I applied. They don't answer during their business hours, sometimes you can't leave a message because there's no way to and they gave me FALSE HOPE! I really needed the loan and now I'm stuck with a dropped score and loan. The Yonkers branch is the WORST branch and for all I know their stealing people's information.. BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!

One of the worst loan agency, they will run your credit and at the end waste your time and and effort, the end result you will never get what you want. Please don’t waste your time on them. It doesn’t worth it. My credit has been pull three times by them and still end up being denied.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME…cant stress this enough. The other reviews about getting a hold of someone are accurate. I was in the process of applying for a small loan to pay off all my credit cards in one shot and other random medical bills I have accumulated. I called them several times and have not been contacted. I even received several messages to contact the branch and the person handling the case was “busy” and never called back. Maybe they need a new team or leadership because from my experience thats the worst way to handle cases, even if someone isn’t accepted. I applied for a loan with a different lender and got approved and received my funds in 2 days.

Applied for a loan about 2 weeks ago, a week later I missed a call from the Yonkers Branch and could not get a hold of any one when I called back 5 or 6 times. The following day, I receive a callback from the loan specialist. I answer a few questions but the call gets cut off. Normally with something important like a loan application, I would either expect a call back or reaching my specialist quickly. If only it were that easy. After that call no one ever called me back, not even after contacting Onemain Financial customer service and calling the Yonkers Branch several times. To my surprise I had to log in to my account to see i wasn't approved, did not even receive an email for a notification. This was frustrating to say the least. Wont be applying for another loan with OneMain. Unacceptable.

Good so far no complaints just got to be a little patient and reasonable
