Hats off to James he took care of me and treated me very well. Given what I was buying I was happy that a personal loan took care of my deal. Walked me through the paper work and in 24 months I will officially own my 3000GT😎. Keep up the good work guys and thank you for working with me.

Had a positive experience in October of 2019 but then a negative one in January 2020. I was told I was approved with the soft pull of my credit report but then denied after a hard pull because my income wasn't high enough. Being denied I can deal with but an unnecessary hard pull on my credit is ridiculous especially since I'm a current customer in good standing earning 5% more than when I became one.

I don’t even know where to start. A loan was granted to me which ended up allowing me to refinance my car loan with One Main Financial in Oct 2018. Around March 2019 a called was placed to me from a representative from OMF stating the paperwork for my Title was not properly obtained and they would give me a call the next day with further instructions and details. By July, I received a call from Lauren who is new to the OMF Northlake Branch stating they need a power of attorney paperwork from my father who lives in IN. The following week after speaking to her about my father being hesitant, I received a letter from Lauren representing OMF stating that my loan will go into default if I don’t submit the proper documentation.... 9 months after I was granted the loan. I found this to be unethical to grant a loan to someone and that person has never been late on the loan to suddenly threaten them to be in default against the loan terms. Finally, at the beginning of August, all the necessary paperwork had been finalized on my end and my father’s end with his POA for the car Title registration. I tried paying my car tags online and it said I was blocked. I gave it a week and tried again. On the last week before they were due, I called Lauren to ask her why I couldn’t pay my tags. I received an apology email that for several weeks now, they have been holding on to my paperwork and had not submitted it to the DMV because their branch was “got very busy”. The DMV told me it would take 2-4 weeks before the paperwork is processed. I emailed Lauren and asked if they would reimburse me for the late fees and she didn’t have the decency to ever reply. I filed a formal complaint with the executive office, to which they eagerly agreed to pay my late fees, but the woman failed to send me an email like she said she would so I could submit the fee reimbursement request. So I had to write them again for her information to send the fees. I wrote Lauren two weeks ago and she still hasn’t replied. I DO NOT recommend One Main Financial and their sketchy way of granting loans without proper documentation. Lauren even said to me on the phone, “You are not the only one this has happened to at this branch prior to me getting here.” I am so over this company!

Unfortunately I never got to meant my Loan officer face to face but his professionalism was awesome and he was very attentive to my needs and requests. Thank you so much for making sure I was completely satisfied. Great job and stay safe. Your help was of value to me and my family.

I had the worst experience with this company and branch. I applied for a loan, but never signed any paper. Lauren pushed all my paperwork through, changed One Main financial to my lien holder on my insurance and everything. I never signed a contract, she contacted my employers and everything AFTER I STATED I DID NOT WANT TO GO THROUGH WITH THE LOAN. I guess in her little world, this loan is all that mattered. I requested to cancel because of the reviews left here. I see why. Changes definitely need to be made in the way they, specifically, her - handles the customer. James was kind and able to diffuse the situation but I’d rather stump my pinky toe two times in a row than deal with this branch. They are unprofessional, desperate and pushy for the closing. I’m completely turned off by the way things were handled. I’m definitely going to see what my rights are as far as fair business practice are concerned. Beware before applying..

Update as of 11/2020 Was given a refinance option and Decided to take it because I’m short on disposable cash. I submitted my information yesterday and called in for an update. They guy asked me why I’m requesting the funds so I tell him it’s my daughter’s bday, Christmas is coming and I’m working on things for a business and I’m just short on funds. He preceded to tell me they don’t provide business loans and he’s going to send this information to underwriting. I’m like wait a minute I didn’t come to you for a business loan. I’m refinancing a personal loan I just gave you a rundown of why I’m short on cash. Long story short he refused to understand. I have yet to have the process completed and I feel so screwed now. They came through on time but I was approved for the amount requested. I took the weekend to think it over and my amount was lowered and my interest rate doubled on Monday when I returned. Not completely happy but the service I received from the associates in the location was great.

Terrible institution. They quoted me an APR with a monthly payment that calculates out to an APR that is 10 points higher. When I questioned Michele about this her response was “I don’t know.” I’m guessing this place bait and switches using hidden fees and prays on people who they think can’t do simple math. This place is about as transparent as a brick wall.

Fantastic company that considers your complete financial situation and offers great rates and customer service. Would recommend to anyone who needs a personal loan.
