OneMain Financial Market St, Elmwood Park

My loan specialist explained the options for insurance in detail. When I declined insurance, she offered to attempt to lower my payment by extending the term on the loan. Once I stated that I still was not going to purchase any insurance options, she stated she was not going to try it because it’s not worth it. So I felt like I was only worth looking into a lower rate if I was going to spend additional funds with the company on insurance. I’m here spending money. I should still be able to receive the different terms and options that are available. This is my 2nd loan with OneMain which was four times higher than my previous loan. My next loan necessity will not likely be here.

I was referred to someone in this office and i called in. She was not available and the person i spoke to was extremely unpleasant and had zero customer service skills. She spoke to me with a nasty tone and it was clear she did not want to be there or be speaking to me. I asked if she could help, even though it didn't sound like she wanted to. I asked about refinancing my vehicle because credit Karma suggested that 5% is too high of an APR to be paying. She responded: "Well we can't get you anything lower than that anyway" She did not even run my credit. This was a red flag so i decided to go to another company.

Our Loan payment was running late due to medical problems so for some un-Godly reason they called our LANDLORD who lives downstairs looking for us and embarrassed the living hell out of us. He was NOT happy with that phone call. So not right.

Elwood park office treats you poorly and belittles you. Plus you can not do this loan unless you own a vehicle!! They should state that from the beginning instead of them run your credit for no reason!!!

Call office a week ago for small loan. Was told I was approved for it and never heard back from them.. called twice to speak to some one they still haven’t called me back.. also they tryed to have me do a car loan which I already have threw them which would had cost me more money long term.. young ppl do your research

This loan payment has never been late. Monthly payments are more than agreed amount yet the keep increasing. may have to take these folks before the courts for fraud.

They told me I was approved for $10,000 plus they was going to pay off my vehicle I told them I don't want to drive all the way up there for nothing she told me regardless you are approved for 10,000 dollars I get over there I spent around 20 minutes and they told me I wasn't approved but you could have told me that over the phone worst place ever

Elmwood Park office doesn't return calls, belittles you when you call them and tries to give you a loan you don't want. They try to set you up to fail if you're going through a rough patch. NOT RECOMMENDED!

The service that I have received from the OneMainFinancial office located in Elmwood Park, New Jersey has been extremely poor. The branch manager, Ellen Ganz was suppose to call me back over two weeks ago. As of today, May 9 I am still waiting to hear back from her. Very disappointing to say the least.

I was running late and didn’t think I could make my appointment. But the young lady waited for me . Very nice & sweet . I would recommend this office to anyone in need .
