Honestly, I appreciated the nice service but nearly all the products here are priced at current best condition prices, new or near new prices (say saving $20-$50 max) even when they aren’t in that condition. Saw a set of golf clubs that priced at retail for a new set of the same brand. These are used items. I understand making profit but these aren’t worth the prices you’re setting at. From the motorcycles to the guns, you can find the same items cheaper elsewhere.

Went in looking to make a purchase. Two salesmen sat at the back counter talking about the Chiefs with a friend. Neither could be bothered to even look my direction. Once I asked for the sale-man’s assistance, he mentioned the item I was interested in needed maintenance but failed to recall how long the item had sat there. After making an offer I was instantly denied, being told 10$ was the max they could take off. My friend was also denied a quote for a sale of an item already on the shelves. Save the gas, unless you wanna talk about how many games Travis Kelce will play next year.

Great people to deal with. They are quick to reply to questions and they ship very quickly. My item arrived quickly and was exactly as advertised.

I used to go here in my younger years, haven't been in a decade. Walk in, same old, very RUDE man was there. Claimed my gold was no good. Besides calling my dad a liar, had the nerve to say my silver was bunk. Rolled down the counter making it look/appear as it was fake. He's the liar. Tried giving me a lecture about how long he's done this. I don't care. Maybe it's been too long. I had my gold and silver checked out by a PROFESSIONAL. It's fine, there's nothing wrong with it. Obviously the old man either holds grudges, or is a liar himself, or both. The man NEEDS to brush up on silver, gold, etc. Much has changed in the market, especially as long as he's done this, I'd 3cpectva professional to know what he's doing. Apparently this man doesn't keep up on silver rounds, distribution of, the silver content due to the shortage, AND 'rona. Maple Leafs weight EXACTLY 1oz, not more, not less. It's a COINas well, NOT a round. Learn the difference old man. My gold is from an IRA/401k. They do NOT make mistakes when it comes to that. It's ASSEYED. Signed and NUMBERED for retirement purposes. I hardly believe Credit Suisse would produce fake gold to fill IRA accounts. That's called FRAUD. On a massive scale. People go to FEDERAL prison for such crimes. It appears this old man is WAY out of touch with reality. Gold and silver are NOT sold like they were in old west times,bold man. Learn new mints,what they produce, and for God's sake, learn silver rounds and quit expecting the worst out of everyone. I understand one can get jaded in this business, but for God's sake man, grow up, learn, and have some damn manners. You're an embarrassment to that establishment. You lose sales, call people and their dead daddy's liar,. Do you even know who Noble Gold is? Did you know you can cash in your IRA/401k for gold as long as it's assayed? I saw first hand, you sir, DO NOT. Time to retire old man. You disgrace that once beautiful shop. used to love this place. It's full of junk now. Very sad.

I stop in probably twice a month looking for that "item" that just 'needs to go home' with me - LOL! Every time I enter the Store, I'm greeted with such a friendly "Hello!" from the wonderful Ms Woody or another Team Member! As I tour, I can't go far before I'm approached with a question if I need help? I can always count on having someone nearby should I need assistance. I've gone home with small items like a Harry Potter Blu-Ray in new condition to almost a thousand dollars of audio equipment that we negotiated a great deal on. Every time I always believe we both came away with value in the transaction. There is such a variety of items to choose from...I have to control myself whenever I go in to browse! I also enjoy the Special Events with Live Music, free grub, and of course, SALE PRICES! I'm looking forward to doin' some tradin' in the future for some goodies...we'll see how that turns out? It's definitely worth a stop if you're out 'pawn shoppin'! No matter where you go - I believe if you treat 'em right, they'll treat you right! Happy Shopping and Happy Saving!

This place is our very own midwest version of Pawn Stars. Sure their prices might be a little bit higher than others but honestly folks you get what you pay for. If you want junk don't go here. Good quality goods of a wide variety. I've purchased everything from tools to sound bars and never once had a bad experience with the service or products. Check'm out folks you won't regret it.

my advice would be to only get loans on tools or rodeo related items and definitely stick to things that are especially durable and avoid anything with a nice finish. They do not store valuable items in a sufficient manner which caused damage to several of my items, items that they know are valuable otherwise they wouldn't have given such a large loan on them and then when I bring it up they look at me like you just asked them to recite their times tables(that's difficult for a hillbilly) You'd be alot better off going to Heartland Pawn around the corner. You'll get better value for your loan items and the guys there grew up with indoor plumbing and understand "book words"

They have a huge selection of very nice, and very affordable jewelry. Shop here before going to a jewelry store. You just might find that awesome piece at a fantastic price! They also have a nice selection of electronics, tools, musical instruments, and just about anything else under the sun. The staff is very friendly and will always greet you with a smile. The Old West decor gives the place a cozy feel. If you can make it to their special sale days, you may be able to score some really deep discounts.

I stopped in expecting the classic pawn shop vibe, but this business was open and cheery. Everyone I encountered smiled and treated me like they wanted nothing more than for me to enjoy doing business with them. Refreshing! And the customer service was speedy and well-oiled. I will be back several times, knowing there is always something interesting to discover and that the experience will be honest and pleasant.

I have been coming to the trading post for over a decade now. I have watched them go from a little tiny store to the best in KC. I don't live in Olathe anymore I'm in KC Mo .....but I still make the drive over to them as I have never found a pawn shop that made me feel like I mattered as they have the best customer service ! They are very "old school " in the way they treat their customers like friends or family and not just a dollar!!! If anything the only one to ever be short or 100% nice it's been myself 🙄 not them!! Must day they give the fairest price on loans ..... they don't scam they give you what it's really worth in the pawn market. They also sell their merchandise for a price that makes you want to come back . With the large store , selection, and awesome prices every visit is a treasure hunt to me Needless to say they are A #1 in my Book !! Thanks guys!

Have bought many many things there and have been able to negotiate on most items. Buy, sell and trade is what they do. If you have not been to a pawn shop, go. No stigma. I have been going there for nearly 20 years. Go still about every three weeks. Good people.

I talked to Dave over the phone, he was great. I met Bill, he was awesome too. I was dealt with fairly professionally quickly accurately and politely. You need a pawn shop you go to Olathe trading Post. It's a first-class operation staffed with classy professional good people and they are there for the long run not for the fast money you will feel the difference.

Great items to buy, and they take exceptional care of items pawned. Although you can pawn and buy used merchandise, this isn't your run of the mill pawn store. The staff is and extremely professional and the establishment is kid friendly.

We love this place so much! Have been a loyal customer for about 4 years now. You have no idea what ypu are going to find inside. The staff is always so happy and smiling and so friendly. We love the lady who tends the jewelry counter. She is a delight. We have bought a lot from this establisment and encourage others to check out the vast selection. They constantly have sales and fun things going on such as events what not. Also you get to munch on free popcorn while ypu look around what could be better. We absolutely love this place. Would give it more stars if we could!

Easily the best pawn shop in the area. I've been too close to a dozen and this one is by far my favorite. The staff is very knowledgeable, helpful and plain nice people. Communication was excellent my item was shipped quickly and packaged well. Item was exactly as described. I would certainly not hesitate to do business with them in the future. Discovered this place just a few years ago, and have to say these folks have made it one of the best pawn shops around, if not THE best. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, good prices, frequent and excellent sale events, and a wide variety of stuff. I've done a good amount of business with them now, and they don't treat me like a valued customer. They treat me like family! I don't just give them my business, I send them friends, coworkers, and anyone else I know that is looking for a good deal on whatever they are looking for. There's been several occasions when the folks working the gun and knife area have asked me about stuff they aren't too familiar with, as I'm a long time collector of such, and they tend to listen to what I say. I've had to point out a few times they got something worth less than they thought, but usually I wind up telling them the opposite - they got something priced WAY under what it's worth. Overall, they treat customers right and never have that " If you aren't buying something, don't come here" vibe. I average one visit every two weeks, usually one a week, and freely admit I only buy something maybe one time out of ten, but they STILL seem happy to see me and chat away.

Just purchased 2 firearms from them. Ya know, we thought they were great guys...but DO YOUR RESEARCH before buying. I picked up a great Glock X19. I was told it was super hard to find. Went to a small shop in Paola and found it for $325 cheaper. Then the G2C I bought was $160 cheaper. Needless to say I won't be shopping w them anymore. I don't appreciate anyone who takes a financial advantage in the current situation when all we are trying to do is protect ourselves in uncertain times. So yeah they got me for almost $500.00. Never again......

It's been stated before, but Kevin and Woody are awesome. These people are very keen on helping anyone who has any questions, and they make purchasing, trading, pawning items extremely quick and nice. If you're selling something, they do not lowball you, and they work with you to ensure you get a fair price to where both parties benefit. If you aren't necessarily keen on a certain price, they will try their best to work with you to whatever may work with your budget. They also have layaway which is very awesome, considering not all shops have this. I've been to almost every shop in the Johnson County metro, and this is by far the best.

This place has a very unique and efficient setup. They also have someone manning a desk at the entrance which makes it easy to bring items in. I like how all the staff have the same "western" look, and have built their brand around it. I've pawned a few items and the process is fairly streamlined. My only constructive feedback is that some of the staff could work on their demeanor. They don't go out of their way to be nice, but overall the experience here was pleasant.

Kevin and Woody are the most helpful people I have ever met. I had the best shopping experience today and the most fun shopping. Hi. My name is Zach. Today I went in and bought a Vizio TV on layaway. Woody and Mark were very very helpful at the checkout as well as the two gentlemen at the pawn counter that took many of my items to try and get the amount needed to get the TV. I ended up a dollar and 57 cents short of the layaway and they were willing to work with me to be able to get the TV in my car and home today where it’s setting up perfectly in my room. This pawn shop is the best in the Kansas City area. They are very nice people. If you need to pawn anything, please give them as much business as possible! It’s well worth it!!! 10/10 service 5 stars

Stopped by yesterday to see about getting a Kindle so I wasn't running down the battery on my phone so much anymore. Store had a great variety of them and they were all in working condition. Found the one I wanted and the staff was so helpful figure out which model it was. Got a nice generation 4 for only 14 bucks. Took it home and after snycing it to the computer and a software upgrade, it register to my amazon account and I have my books. They also have alot more awesome products and a wide variety of stuff. Staff is also so nice, helpful, and they actually help you instead of trying to rush you out the door. I will definitely be back.

Awesome establishment. Very well organized and clean!!! This place has really good quality merchandise and great prices. The store is adequately staffed. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful. This is definitely a high class operation. Not at all what pawn shops tend to be. I'd like to refer to the shop as more of a high class retail shop with great prices. We always enjoy stopping in when we are in the area. They are friendly and helpful. Their DVDs are normally a great price and my husband likes to buy tools there once in a while. This is our favorite Pawn Shop!

Every employee is very knowledgeable about a wide variety of merchandise. If one doesn't know then 99% chance there is someone there that does! Very reasonable prices on all products and they will strive to help you out monetarily when getting a loan against your items to pawn. AAA rated as far as I'm concerned!

I have been going to the Olathe Trading Post with my daughter for a couple years now. It has the largest and best maintained show floor around. We have always been treated like family from the first time we walked through the doors, as well as today. We have come to expect a level of friendliness and professionalism that you just can't find with other pawn brokers. I have and continue to recommend the Olathe Trading Post to everyone. It's not your typical pawn shop.

Everyone at the trading post is great they will all take there time with ya on what your looking at. I bought an item recently and had an issue with it and the owner of the pawn shop along with another gentleman fixed the issue for me and I haven't had a problem since with it. And they have a really nice gun selection and the prices are fair on most.
