Nuvista Federal Credit Union Commercial Way, Montrose

We followed Brandon Keltz from Bank of Colorado to NuVista for a construction loan. He made a stressful process so much less stressful, and we highly recommend working with him for a construction loan. We are closing on a long term loan next week, and Tisha has been very helpful, kind, and communicative. We are also happy with our rate. I’m not sure I would choose to bank with NuVista based on reviews and lack of technology infrastructure for payments, transfers, deposits etc, but this is a great place for a loan. Our only minor complaint is that our options for making our loan payment was by mail or in person with a check. We only received the new bill each month a few days before it was due, so I chose to drop the payment off in person each month.

NuVista managed our home construction loan and they were absolutely fantastic. Then we continued the mortgage through them and they were great through the closing. However, before the first payment they sold it to a national mortgage chain. Wish they would have been upfront about that. The possibility of it not being managed locally might matter more to someone else.

Awful customer service! If you want to be treated like a child, get talked down to and cut off after 3 words this is the right bank for you! Also they will take funds out of your kids accounts and can't say where the money went? I've banked there since I was 16 somthing changed. So we switched to Alpine Bank I would highly recommend switching. Nu vista Co workers tellers loan officers and even managers act like crabby witches.

The initial allure was obviously that poor credit didn't restrict me or my spouse from having savings/checking accounts. A difficult divorce made account access a battle, and the bank's staff repeatedly proved inefficient. They gave us false procedures for splitting joint accounts, informing us in contradiction, and then were forced to compensate us for false fee charges. The hours are also very limited compared to other local banks, and the staff failed to learn our names or faces even after more than 5 years banking there.

Very dissatisfied! If I was able to not give a star I would! I always have issues with your Mobile Banking. Not user friendly at all. I had a login and was able to sign in until the bank changed their site without notifying me. I tried for over a month, called multiple times to get help, every time I had to leave a message and never received a call back. Finally I called again and was directed to someone that I could talk to. They then stated they changed their site and I had to re-register. So inconvenient. On Friday, I used the mobile deposit to deposit my check and figured it would be available immediately since I've used mobile deposit through other banks and was available within minutes. (There should be a warning when you deposit stating it would not be available for 2 business days!) The following day, which was Saturday, I called customer service and spoke to a women named Stephanie who was extremely rude and impatient. I could hear her huffing and puffing on the phone due to not being able to hear me. She then went onto saying my check would not be available for two business days and would take 24 business hours to cancel my deposit. This banks policies are unacceptable and does not put the customer first. Due to this I will be closing my account.

Hello I hope you're having a great day and if you are considering banking with Nuvista Federal Credit Union it will be the best choice you could make! I have been with them since before I graduated high school (2010) and they have been Lifesavers time and time again! There are problems that I have made that they have worked with me whether it be credit cards or loan payments or just simply an issue in my checking account they have saved me and helped me take the steps that are necessary to get me on the right track and to also help me as well. I highly highly recommend Nuvista Federal Credit Union they have been there for me with so many great moments and also the hard times, they're more like family to me. Thank you guys so much for standing by me for all these years and I look forward to many more!!!

I couldn't be more impressed with the service I receive at NuVista. From pulling up to the drive thru or walking through the door im greeted by name and welcomed. Always fast and friendly! Kelli and the team have helped me with my financial needs for years now, I recommend NuVista to anyone.

Since the moment I walked into NuVista we have been treated like royalty! There has never been a time when they haven't welcomed our family, assisted us through any situation, dropped everything to help and gone the extra mile! A recent example was when my literature class raised over $3,000 in pennies, nickels, and dimes for Water for South Sudan. I kept hauling in bag after bag of change and they always stopped what they were doing to make sure our needs were met. As our family has moved from place to place we always find our people. ALL the people at NuVista Federal Credit Union are on that list! I had begun to lose a bit of faith in the banking industry as a whole but establishing our accounts at NuVista has completely restored it! Thank you to the team!

I've been a member for a few years, never had a problem until today. The ladies up front have been nothing but sweet. The woman who processed my last name change was a total, rude, you-know-what. From the time she got me in the lobby to the moment I left she was rude. Silent, barely said a word to me, barely even looked at me for that matter. Got irritated when I tried opening a new account, and said I didn't need to for a name change. (I'm aware, I wanted a new, separate checking account anyway). Grabbed the pen away from me while she continued to talk about the disclosures, when I was about to sign she wasn't done talking so she jerked it away. I will be closing my accounts with Nuvista as soon as possible. Alpine Bank is MUCH better! P.S.: Overdraft 1 cent with Nuvista, pay $35 ;) I've never been so upset with a company that I was willing to discontinue services. That changes now.
