Northwoods Bank of MN 1st St, Park Rapids

I heard great things about Northwoods Bank from friends so my wife and I tried their mortgage services out. After trying their services for a couple months, we ended up going through a different bank because we never got straight answers from our loan officer and was never given a true dollar amount of what we could afford, so putting an offer on a house was very difficult without having that information. Also, last time we were in the bank an employee made a very rude comment about a customer and her appearance after she had left and that person happened to be a coworker of mine. I'm really not one to post reviews, if any, but my experience with this bank could've been much better.

We moved “up North” in 1998 to live in Lake Country and start our own business. Northwoods Bank worked with me to procure a small business loan and the rest is history. Our banking relationship could not have been better. In 2014, my beloved husband died and I sold our lake home and moved to St. Paul to be closer to my two adult children and their families. It should speak volumes that Northwoods Bank continues to be my bank of choice. Doing business with them is seamless. Roger was super helpful in the major purchase we made; guiding us through each step in things we were unfamiliar with. Now that we moved to the area, Ginnie has been amazing with helping us close out our business in our previous state! Every.single.time. She has gone above and beyond to help us over every hurdle! Every time we visit this branch, the office ladies are ready and willing to help us meet our goals. I have banked at Northwoods Bank since 2009. We live in Nevis and used to live in Park Rapids. Having multiple locations is helpful, especially for our kids who have their deposit accounts. I bank with other banks in Park Rapids, as no bank is a one-size-fits all, but we keep our some of our personal accounts there as I appreciate being recognized when I walk/drive up. Moreover, my dog loves going to the bank and getting a treat in the drive thru, (they know my dog’s name too ~ which is cute). The Hewitt family who owns the bank supports the community in many ways and their works should be respected. Class act.

We have only banked at Northwoods, as far back as when it was in Dorset. Whether at the Nevis branch, the PR drive-up, or the main bank we have always been pleased with the service. That is why we keep our checking and savings accounts there and have a mortgage loan there as well as other loans in the past. Fine service; very friendly staff at all locations.

I have banked at Northwoods Bank since 2010. I tried other area banks, and have had many other bank accounts in several other locations through the years. Northwoods is definitely the best bank I have ever done business with. The staff provides very professional and friendly personal service. I have lived outside the country for five years and still do all my banking through Northwoods. Highly recommend them.

I banked with Northwoods for years, until I moved out of the region. They were a great local bank and I always had a great experience. They were very helpful when it came time to get my first car loan. The tellers are very kind and knowledgeable. It's a small town bank, so you develop relationships with the tellers and feel like they actually know you. I always looked forward to stopping in and seeing a friendly face!

We have banked with the Park Rapids, MN branch of Northwoods Bank for a little over 13 years and and have received excellent service from them. The tellers are very friendly and the loan/account officers are friendly and knowledgeable as well. We would definitely recommend to someone looking for a bank to do business with.

We have banked at Northwoods Bank for over a half century. Having had a checking account, savings account, and loans and have always been treated with respect , convenience and honest service. One minor issue occurred in all those years resulting in us being listened to, understood and them the issue being resolved quickly in a professional manner. We give it a 5 star rating and always feel a level of trust referring others .
