Just got my 2022 Rav4 hybrid XSE from them... no dealer markup for locals so definitely check them out if your in the market! I only waited about 2 months from the time I put a deposit down, I was one of the lucky ones that go in at the right time. Anthony was my car salesman, he's a great guy, super helpful! He kept me up to date on the progress of the delivery of the car and answered all of my questions. If you wanna test drive something, make sure to call them first, the website is never up to date with what's actually on the lot and not already sold.

Now...inventory is at an all-time low for most cars for sale, used or new. Which might explain the unexpected inital poor customer service at this dealership...maybe they figured if we didn't spend our hard earned money there...somebody else would be right behind me who would. Still though...Northway Toyota has a very nice facility so I figured okay to give them my business ...after a rough start...and appealing to Toyota Corporate...the management came around and did an excellent job resolving most of our issues... Much to our surprise. Hope the rest of our experiences will be on the new course of professional service we expected.

Came into this dealer to get a quick 20,000 mile service. Over an hour later I’m told my cars ready to go. I step out and check my cabin air filter and see it was never changed. Hopefully I’m the only case of this but make sure you check if your maintenance was done before leaving! They did bring out a new filter and replaced it before I left. Dealership owner says they will review the case. Meanwhile days later and still haven’t heard anything. No integrity found here!

I went in for an annual inspection and a tire rotation, and I waited for the work to be done. The work was done much faster than I expected and the cost was much less than expected. My Technician communicated everything to me. Yes, I was very pleased!

Do not go to this dealership. Support your local mechanic instead. Went in for an inspection, left with $900-$1K bill. I trusted the service pro when he said I needed to replace my brake pads, other things. He didn’t disclose price up front. I thought price would be fair, as I typically only deal with small mom and pop shops. Support them instead. The reason for the 4.5 rating here is because bots/people who are happy after buying cars.

They often say that they strive for exceptional customer experience, but I didn’t experience anywhere close to that, I had a very ordinary experience yesterday when I went to collect parts that I had ordered last week. The guy who brought my parts from inside was ok, didn’t say hi or anything, just blatantly asked why I am there for. Worse than that was the lady at the checkout register who I felt like was having a bad day where she showed signs of venting her frustration on me. Come on, I am here to just collect my parts. If you have attitude problems the you better find some other job where you don’t have to interact with customers. Completely unacceptable. Would never go or recommend anyone to this place.

Called a couple weeks ago to schedule a test drive for a highlander listed on their website. Drove 1 hour with a 9 year old and a newborn baby so I could look at it. Conviently when I got there it was sold. Funny how it's still on their website. Switch and bait.....

If i could give this place 0 stars so would. I was interested in buying a used Jeep from this dealership. The salesman, Damon, was very nice and helpful. But the business man I talked to, Miles, was rude, snippy, and overall unhelpful. We agreed on the original price of $9750 for the car, and 10% interest. When i spoke to miles, he tried raising the interest to 14%. When I got the final contract, the price of the vehicle was raised to $9845, and they refused to lower it after I stated I had proof of the original agreed upon price. They added an extra $2500 warranty i never asked for, and lied to my father and Miles was incredibly rude to my father over the phone. When I emailed them back stating the numbers were incorrect and I wouldn’t be taken advantage of, they cancelled the sale. I hope I never have the displeasure of dealing with ANY of them again. Don’t trust these people, they are slimy and skeezy and will try and scam you out of a few hundred dollars and when they get caught will cancell the sale.

I have a 2020 Rav 4 and I get my service performed routinely at Northway Toyota. 2 days ago I got text messages from Northway Toyota stating that my Rav4 was due for service (Toyota Care). I noticed today while in Poughkeepsie, NY on business that my odometer reading was 24995 and I called Northway to make an appointment which I did. I drove my vehicle into Northway Toyota at the appointment time of 1PM. The service advisor told me that I couldn't get Toyota Care because my odometer reading was now 25097 even though my Toyota care was going to expire in August 2022. The drive from Poughkeepsie to Northway Toyota made me drive over the 25000 mile mark and the Service Dept. said I was ineligible.(I suppose I could have towed it in and kept it under 25000 miles) I didn't argue and asked for my vehicle and left. I live in Albany and I have bought numerous vehicles for me and my children from Northway Toyota but this incident today really, really soured me on this dealership.NO MORE! I should have realized that when the Langan Family sold this dealership to a corporate entity the customers would not be treated the same. As a matter of fact, many of the long time service advisors and sales staff are no longer there. So after nearly 30 years of doing business and treating me so cheaply for driving 97 miles over on my odometer I bid this place good bye- - you lost me. John Fischer

Went there to get a Corolla . They mentioned on their website about the $209 deal, but when I got there they refused to acknowledge it. They had false advertisement and did not bother on resolving the issues as they explained how there sales were so high and also believed returning one customer would not hurt their business.

I scheduled an oil change for 8AM, and was told it would be done by 1 - why so long I didn’t ask but that was okay - I returned to pick up my vehicle at 245 only to be told they hadn’t even begun the oil change yet. They offered that I could come back another day to get it done, which was surprising as an oil change is brief, and I would not be confident their actually do my work then either. I’ve bought 4 vehicles from them over the years, but they have lost my business forever

After struggling to make an appointment with another local dealership because of their awful communication, I called Northway Toyota. They answered the phone, ordered the parts right away, and got me in within three days to get my airbag recall taken care of. They Even text you reminders about your appointment and updates on the work while it's happening. Even included a free loaner so I could get to work. I had a great experience!

We can't say enough about Northway Toyota. The engine went on our Honda Pilot and we were in a pinch to say the least. When you're in a bind, there's an opportunity for a dealership. Another great experience at Northway for service. I live in Oneonta and drive more than an hour to get to this dealership where I purchased my car. This trip reminded me again why I drive the distance that I do. I called to inquire about the service I believed I needed and was properly greeted by a knowledgeable service writer. He booked my appointment and gave me a quote on the services that I may need to have performed. On the day of arrival, I was probably greeted by that same service writer Who recalled our phone conversation and my needs. He informed me that my service work would require about three hours, which actually turned out to be a few minutes less. The work and the price was exactly what we agreed upon. I love this dealership!

We recently moved to Saratoga County from New Paltz. We called several area Toyota dealers to arrange for an appointment. This was the only dealer who returned our call promptly. They scheduled a convenient time and day for us, and aloud us early drop off, and day later pick up to accommodate our needs. They provided punctual service, free multipoint check of all systems, and offered routine maintenance without making us feel pushed to schedule it now. I accidentally left cash and other personal items visible in the vehicle; all found untouched where they had been left. I drove away feeling confident that my vehicle was safe, and that my patronage was respected and revered. The mechanic personally found my truck (that had been stored overnight indoors) and delivered it out front. The cashier kept us laughing during our short wait. It doesn’t get much better. This dealer is farthest from our home, but is our choice for service and our next purchase. Thanks to all.

Manager said it’s okay I won’t be recommending them because they have thousands of other customers. Very condescending. Poor customer service after being sold the car—everyone there is incredibly unclear except for Robin. 3 stars for the purchasing experience. I had some issues with the salesperson selling me the car as well as far as clarity and not providing information I asked for, but just was interested in getting through the purchase. There are worse car dealerships out there, but still unimpressed.

Bought a used Honda a week ago, sales person Dereck was great, But this dealership needs to work on the full picture and I understand being short staffed so on the so forth, Northway Toyota has terrible communication. Purchased Vehicle on a Saturday, My vehicle did need the door handle fixed and a complete detail, so I had no problem in waiting until the next Saturday to pick the car up Which they assured me would be ready, I returned the following Saturday expecting to drive my new (to me) CRZ hybrid coupe, to my surprise it was not ready, ok cool it’s Saturday didn’t mind waiting, sales person stating it would be ready by 11:30 fine, I waited patiently until about 12 o’clock the car was still not ready then when they finally brought the car out the one thing that we agreed upon being done was not done because someone didn’t read the notes, The piece they needed for the door handle had not even been ordered yet very disappointing, and the detail job was horrible to say the least. buyer beware.

Poor customer service!! I was interested on a SUV. It was listed without any pictures, I had appointment set up to test drive it and when I got there the SUV had some big body damage. I told the salesperson person the SUV was not for me because of the damage. As soon as I said that his answer was " WHAT DO YOU EXPECT FROM AN OLD VEHICLE? IS A 2011!!!" He was very rude without any type of reason. Do they think people in this type of place go in to buy candy or something? Yes, a 2011 for 21k! They should post pictures and details before listing. I drove 35 minutes under the rain to get treated like trash Thanks!

I bought 2021 4Runner from Christian Stringer back in October and the whole sales process was stress free and easy between Christian and the sales manager Chris Reynolds. Just stopped in for my first service and it was very quick and they even washed my car and put my new registration sticker in without even needing to ask. Great sales and service department both!

On a routine check they found my brakes needed some work. I had an appointment so couldn't wait too much longer. They felt it would be safest for me if I got it done right away so found another tech so two people could work on it and get it done in time for me to be on my way. Dealer/ Sales rep said that the brakes/caliphers/rotors were inspected and perfectly fine. After putting less than 1,000 miles on the vehicle purchased have already put nearly 1k into these same issues.

I bought the car from out of state to be shipped Chris and Zach made the process easy and had great communication. Both these guys responded quickly even on there days off. Miles in finance was even able to get me a lower rate even though I was not able to take advantage of it because I was not there in person he also gave me a number of a great transport company that got my 4Runner to me with no problems at all. Overall a great group of guys that I feel went above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. They treated me way better then any local dealer in my area and I didn’t even have to step foot in the door.

Not sure if the service department is actually servicing the vehicle. Each time I come with any issue they find nothing wrong. I had to mention the issues myself after the inspection and they tell me the mechanic didn't see anything during the check. My passengers have brought up the issues as well as they're obvious (brakes and putting) However, I don't think Toyota will notice anything wrong until it's too late. Definitely recommend finding another shop for maintenance.

I feel people need to know because it can cost them serious money. I recently brought my vehicle in to the service center because I had multiple service lights come on. I still have a warranty on my powertrain so I set up an appointment with Northway via phone and received a confirmation email. When I arrived on my appointment date, I was told I was not on the schedule and was asked if I had a confirmation e-mail. When I presented the e-mail showing my appointment was for that date (Thur, 1/13) I was told to go into the service center and see if they could "squeeze me in" which was frustrating since I had already made an appointment. Once I met with my service advisor, he was able to find availability for me to leave my car there and said he would be in contact once they find out what the issue was. Later that night he called me to tell me there would be $1100 in work needed (new battery and something to do with emissions) and that unfortunately nothing would be under warranty. He said it was too late in the day to have the parts overnighted and that the vehicle would be ready either Saturday or Monday at the latest, and that he would call me when it was ready. Needless to say, I never got a call. I proceeded to reach out 4 times over the next 2 weeks, leaving multiple messages, but never heard back. Finally, I decided to pick up my vehicle on Friday Jan. 28th and my vehicle hadn't even been touched yet. I had to pay a $160 diagnostics fee and then decided to take my vehicle to my mechanic that has worked on my vehicles for 10+ years. I received my car back within 24 hours and was told that all I needed was a new battery, and that the low voltage was throwing off the electrical system in my car causing the indicator lights to go off. I have driven the car 200+ miles since getting it back to re set the system with the new battery and still no lights have come back on. And when the diagnostics are run, no code's show up. When it comes to this amount of money and this amount of time without my vehicle (coupled with ZERO communication) I really think something needs to be said.

Horrible customer service and absolutely atrocious communication. After having a poor salesman who either didn't take us seriously or didn't care about his job sell us a new car, we waited to hear when it would arrive. No communication from the dealership at all, we eventually had to call the day it was scheduled to arrive for them to tell us it was delayed at least another two weeks. After that passed, the day it was supposed to arrive once more came and went, and we had to call AGAIN for a simple update. We were told because our salesman was out of the office, even though our car was delivered we could not pick it up as the salesperson had the paperwork. I tried to speak with the manager to resolve this issue - was on hold for 45 min before the line disconnected (I was forgotten). Called back FOUR MORE SEPARATE TIMES - each time I was told I would be transferred to someone who could help, I was hung up on. Quite ridiculous and a waste of my time after 2 hours of trying to figure out any information on my new car. Would not recommend this dealership to anyone.

I had some problems with gear shift in my Camry. They wrongly diagnosed it and suggested to change the transmission for $ 6000, charged $85 for diagnostics. After I went to Capitaland auto they diagnosed a corroded battery and loose connection to transmission and fixed the problem. My car is running fine now.

I am writing this review in regards to the parts department. If you call the department be ready to be disrespected, belittled, and be ready to talk to a rude person (KEVIN COON) The person that answers the phone (KEVIN COON) has to be the rudest person I have ever spoken to on the phone. The first thing he said to me after I said hello is "You need to move I can't hear you!" It was in a disrespectful and rude manner. After dealing with him on the phone he decided to send me a schematic of what he was "positive" I was looking for and that he has worked there for "44 years and knows what he's doing". Needless to say after I pulled it up with my mechanic it was the wrong schematic. Fast forward to the parts coming in they were the wrong parts so I had to bring them back. KEVIN COON was not happy that "You (me the customer) had him order the wrong parts". As I was trying to explain what was wrong he said "I am not dealing with this" grabbed my receipt and parts then turned and shut the door behind him in my face. He came back out and told me that "The problem was that you and your mechanic don't know what you are doing". He clearly doesn't want to take responsibility for his actions. Toyota should be ashamed they have someone like this working for them. As a customer I should not have to worry about being disrespected or belittled on the phone. I will proudly go to Bennington Toyota in Vermont and will never set foot inside Northway again. I will recommend all my Toyota friends to stay out of Northway in Latham and find a different Toyota to go give business to.

I brought my 2008 Camry to check intermittent ABS and brakes lights on dashboard... spent $170 to be told that there is nothing wrong and they "reset" the ABS controller... Less than 100m outside the dealership and the same problem back again. This is UNACCEPTABLE SERVICE, extremely disappointed ! P.S. I was not told that I will be charged that much when I made my appointment reservation. Only told while standing in front of the receptionist... again this is not how a professional does business !

Every time I come here I get over charged. It’s never a simple oil change or inspection. I’m always walking out spending over $1,000.00 please go somewhere else. This place is has no ethics when it comes to business. Stay away please.

Awesome service on my ‘19 RAV4! Tim along with the other service advisors were SUPER helpful in teaming up, answering my plethora of questions patiently, informatively, and lightheartedly! I was informed even though I purchased it used elsewhere, it’s still covered under the 2 year standard Toyota Care free maintenance, not to mention Northway’s free post service wash! Recommend highly!

Trash parts department terrible ordered Touch up over a week ago no sign of my order. Now I look stupid because my customer was told it's a week out. Parts department rude and unorganized would NOT deal with you again caused a giant inconvenience and broken promises with my clientele which I do not participate in.

I absolutely love my new 2021 RAV4 hybrid!!!! It was my first time purchasing a car with out touching it or seeing it in person. I worked with Damon he was fantastic!!! He kept in touch with me and was updating me when my car would arrive. His customer service was spot on!! This is my 3 vehicle I have purchased from Northway Toyota and have no plans of going anywhere else! My friend was so impressed she purchased a 2022 RAV4 a week later from Damon. Recently moved to Upstate NY and had leased a 2021 Toyota Prius Prime Plug in in Ohio. It was time for my first ToyotaCare free service. I called and made an appointment for 11:40AM. I arrived about 11:30 and pulled right into the service bay and was greeted by a technician. After greeting me, he scanned my VIN and handed me a ticket to take into the building and hand to an advisor. I went in and was quickly taken care of and shown to the waiting area. I was told it might be an hour to an hour and a half. Forty minutes later I was surprised to hear my name called. My car would be brought around in a few minutes after the wash. It was and I went happily on my way. Can’t ask more than that!

Overall a decent experience buying a used car from these guys, certainly better than many other dealers I've been to. I went in to look @ their used cars in the $10k-$15k price range. They paired me up with one of their less experienced sales reps, who was a bit standoffish with me at first, which I didn't like. Definitely came away with the impression that I was wasting his time since I wasn't making a big purchase. However, things got better when I wound up liking the car I test drove. It had a good Carfax report, handled really well, had low miles, and was priced below my budget. Their detailing shop did a great job cleaning up the car (when I test drove it the car had just arrived and the interior hadn't been cleaned up yet). Their service guys did some basic maintenance to get the car past inspection. They also offered me a decent trade-in value on my Hyundai. The financing guy they hooked me up with, Zack, was very friendly and genuine and did a great job finding a loan with decent terms, and patiently explained everything to me when I came in to do the trade-in and loan signing. Overall, I'd say if you prefer a more laid back car-buying experience then Northway is a good choice. Their staff didn't use any pressure tactics or attempt to rush me through a sale the way other dealers attempted to, and I found lots of good deals on their lot.

I have been a Northway Toyota customer since 2013. The techs are always helpful and explain everything in language I can understand. They are always upfront about how much I will have to pay and how long I will have to wait. My 2011 Toyota Corolla is the best car I have ever owned!

I was able to get an appointment the day before which was especially nice. Brooke helped me right away and was kind with setting up my service to my Toyota. I would plan a ride to pick you up though, as it took a little longer than expected, 5 hours for the first 5000 mile service. But ultimately the service was done well and on reasonably short notice, so I’ll be going back for sure!

Wow, pleasantly surprised by the service received at this Toyota dealership! Never thought it would be this good even after reading the other positive reviews. I really appreciated the courteous staff, my tech adviser Lou's timely and accurate communication of recommended services in taking good care of my Lexus, and the extra care they took to sanitize the interior of the car and clean the exterior. Good environment, great staff, great service. Definitely will return for my other car maintenance needs in the future.

Terrible experience! Service advisors do not communicate with technicians, washed my car after I said not to resulting in adding swirls to my paint and breaking my license plate bracket. Oh yea they’ll also rotate your tires for you even though it’s not a square setup you know why bother to double check before handing the car back to the customer??

Made appointment to Drop off my car to get diagnosed with a warranty issue and 3 hours later they had not even touched the car yet. What’s the point of having a reservation system if they don’t plan to get to your car when you drop it off. From what I was told waiting customers take priority over drop off cars. If that’s the case then they should tell you at drop off that there is a difference. The service advisor was nice but overall I was extremely disappointed.

Horrible experience not once 3 times, Super Busy and under staffed and when I walked in there 2 out of the 6 service advisors were on cellphone, price gauging and scam on not getting things done at one trip make multiple trips for shop production.$$, advisors won't even keep.or provide updates through out, a 2 or 3 hr visit turns into a freaking day long trip at customers expense, will.not recommend for people of color. Racially serviced. That's what I felt and even the manager Justin is not too accommodating.

Their finance manager tried to play “credit manager” instead. I actually just won a case from a car accident a few years back and have run into a decent amount of money. Besides fixing my credit my goal was to finance a very specific car and pay the loan off right away because I can afford to. But based on my credit score he basically said every bank denied giving me a loan. And he texted the lady that was our sales representative who was really just a middle man to let us know instead of approaching us to see if maybe they would approve another car we had in mind. He just wants his part to be easy. Shortly after leaving there we were approved by Toyota motors...... at a different Toyota with a decent interest rate and a better car. Thanks for letting us go, but I will absolutely let the public know how I was treated due to my current credit score in the middle of a pandemic. I could have bought the car today in cash. My husband and I bought a car. First they put on my husbands plates without even asking if they were being transferred. They then switched them and put new plates on said it was registered and we would get the registration before the paper one expires. Turns out the plates were never registered with DMV. We called for the registration and they said they would overnight it which that didn’t happen. Trying to get ahold of them is terrible no answer. The car was for mainly for my husband but my name is on it as well if I wanted to use it. I was never offered to see it or drive it or inspect it nothing. It was only a sit down at the table to see if we are buying the car. It was the guys first sale on his own so I let it slide and my husband loved the car otherwise I would never buy a car or do business again with this Toyota.

Everyone was so nice and accommodating, never been there prior to the recall for my car. Toyota offered to by back my car because of a part they don't make, and let me tell you, Northway Toyota made the process so easy. Lou and your team did great job on my 2012 Camry hybrid. They were able to take the car in earlier than planned and get the servicing started. They found that in addition to the usual standard service, I had a problem with the rear brakes. They fixed the problem as well as did the service and NYS inspection and had the car ready for pick up at the original time we planned. Kudos to your service team.

Northway Toyota..... An OUTSTANDING dealership to experience buying a new or used car. I am on my second new car. First was back in 2006 with a brand new Toyota Corolla LE. Which I still own, and just shy of 300,000 miles. Then in 2019 I went back to Northway Toyota, and bought a brand new 2019 Toyota Camry SE. Both times my buying experience was absolutely fantastic. And their service department is UNTOUCHABLE. Service manager Lou is wonderful to speak with. Any work on my cars, which have only been due to normal required maintenance, have been perfect everytime.
