Northrim Bank E Usa Cir, Wasilla

I've used both AlaskaUSA and MVFCU, but I plan to use Northrim for all my banking needs for the foreseeable future. They're always polite and happy to see us. I've never had any trouble with their customer service. Even during a vendor dispute, they where prompt and resolved the issues professionally. They have a machine outside which handles cash and check deposits which I really appreciate. It's very nice having a copy of the Alaska business magazine too which they kindly leave copies of in their lobby. I would highly recommend Northrim to anyone interested in a bank who's capable enough to accurately handle cash deposits: unlike MVFCU.

I use them for my business banking and recommend them to my clients. They have always been helpful, quick to provide answers, and friendly!

My husband and I went into this branch, in Wasilla Alaska, and were treated as if we were not members. The branch manager was awful. I believe her name was Tracy, but nonetheless, she had a very rude tone upon speaking with us. We asked all kinds of questions about a check being held, and after asking why she couldn’t just call to verify funds (check was a cashiers check issued by a major banking institution) she yelled several times saying that she wasn’t going to do that. Not that she couldn’t... but that she WOULDNT. I couldn’t believe the service that we received at this branch. It was unbelievably rude, and not a place I want to give my money to.

I would give zero stars if I could

I have never had anything but a fantastic experience with Northrim. All of the people that I have ever encountered here are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I have multiple accounts with them and trust them completely with all of my banking needs. I highly recommend them to anyone.

Customer first service??? I don't think so! First I had to pay an overdraft fee of $29 for something that did NOT go through. When I asked to speak to the branch manager she told me there is nothing she could do. A few weeks later they cashed my postdated check before the date, causing an overdraft of another $29. Again, the branch manager told me she won't do a refund and they can cash a check no matter what the date says. Needless to say, I did not wait for them to find another way to charge me their absurd fees.

I love this bank. Have been using them for years. Will be opening a second account soon! Only place I trust locally.

Haven't had any issues. New system seems fine also.
