I dealt with Brian Murphy. From doing credit application online to the closing day. He was amazing and was very helpful. He answered my phone calls at 8pm sometimes . I understand being an business owner how determined you have to be to help clients after business hours. I’d highly recommend him to anyone looking for house and needs a mortgage. He is amazing. Todd and his team at NFM were extremely prompt, thorough, and pleasant to work with throughout our home buying process. As first time home buyers, Todd took the time to carefully explain each step which we very much appreciated (and needed). Todd went above and beyond during a competitive offer negotiation to provide immediate info to back our financing to the sellers, and truly help seal the deal - not to mention it was well after-hours on a weekend. Aaron has helped on three separate occasions. Twice for homes we moved into and an additional time for a refinance. All three experiences were awesome. Aaron and his team made sure to clearly explain everything to us and walked us three every phase of the process. His team is extremely knowledgeable, courteous and professional. Do you like getting those car warranty scam voicemails and postcards? Then you'll love getting the same thing for your home from NFM Lending. I had no idea that my home's "warranty" was about to run out until my greedy lender sent multiple final warning mailings about dire consequences if I didn't act soon. And if you love that, you'll really love the experience of actually buying a home with NFM. I personally loved when they jacked up the rates of my origination fees and APR without any notice, only right before asking for quick signatures. They shook me every which way to make an extra $4 on a $400K+ loan. It was quite the adventure! Then they sold it to another company immediately after. What fun!

As a first time home buyer, my knowledge was extremely minimal with buying a house. I am ultimately satisfied with the team being helpful and teaching me everything I needed to know, let alone my loan Originator had answered every question properly & promptly. Jim answered all of my questions in a timely and professional manner. He seemed genuinely interested in helping me find the best mortgage, and had no problems with me shopping around to see if anyone could beat his offer.

Why on earth would NFM sell our 203k loan to Pennymac before the project is complete? We signed off on a draw on 6/17 and it is 7/3 and the funds STILL haven't made its way. If this is going to happen for each draw, it's going to add on 3 to 4 months (or longer) to this already long process. Do you know how much extra in rent it will cost for an additional 4 months? Over $8,000! We are already having to pay rent and mortgage at the same time! So now, once our contractor submits an invoice to NFM, we sign off on it, it's submitted to Pennymac for approval, once Pennymac approves, they release funds to NFM, NFM then sends a two part check to us overnight (the large check doesn't require a signature and is left outside until we get home from work), we have to sign and then pass it off to our contractor. Make it make sense! This process could leave us homeless. Unacceptable!

Cory and his team made what could be a stressful process not only bearable but enjoyable. I really appreciated the excellent communication - in explaining jargon, procedure and loan status. Cory and his assistant Chase kept me constantly up to date, which was something I had not experienced with previous lenders. Cory is efficient and amicable. I really felt like he had my best interest at heart - especially when he explained the different loan types that might suit my needs. Chase was readily available, organized and just a joy. The excellent service was amplified by the fact that my original loan fell through, so we were on a tight deadline. I really felt like the team was advocating for us - going so far as to contact the seller's agent to keep them in the loop and reassured. This was night and day from my previous experience and what friends/family had been through. Even the underwriters were clear in their requests and timely in their processing. I could not more highly recommend the NFM team. They are certainly my preferred lender going forward; I am so thankful my realtor sent me their way.

Kathi Holtz and her team were amazing. We’ve worked with Kathi previously, while with another company for our first home. At that time Kathi worked with us for over a year to get our credit where we needed to be for a successful purchase. Thankfully this time around we were in a better place and were preapproved quickly to be able to put in a competitive offer in this market. Once we were in contract everyone on her team worked quickly to get the ball rolling and we were sent to underwriting within a day or two of being in contract. The only thing that took awhile was the appraisal (VA) which was not anyone at NFM’s fault. Once we got that squared away we were cleared to close within a week. We even moved up our original closing date with no problems. We will always choose Kathi for all of our mortgage needs, and we’ll refer all of our friends and family!
