I am new to Boston, and did not realize how challenging it is to find a studio within my budget in Brookline. Contacted many different agents until I found Ian Armstrong from Nextgen Realty. I've worked with NextGen Realty twice and have found an apartment in Cambridge within weeks. Both times I worked with Ivan Roman, who is a fantastic broker. He immediately sent over suggestions, and iterated with me to find a place for me. Beyond that he was extremely responsive, and always kept me up to date with the status of the process so I was never left hanging. The first time I worked with Ivan I explained to him it was my first time looking for an apartment, and he walked me through the entire process. He took calls with my questions at all times of the day (regardless of weekend / nighttime). The payment process was smooth, and Ivan was even willing to drive over to pick up the check so I didn't have to figure that out myself. It was such a positive experience that two years later, when my lease was ending, I reconnected with Ivan to find a new apartment. The most recent apartment Ivan helped me find would never have been possible without him. I was cautious what the process would look like during Covid, but Ivan managed it in a way which made me feel safe & confident I was making the right decision. We iterated over email via online-tours, so by the time I actually toured a unit I was fairly confident that it would suit my needs. He then helped me negotiate with the landlord a later move-in date. The process felt seamless, even during a pandemic.

Fernanda Starr was amazing! She worked tirelessly for us to find us exactly what we wanted, literally working 12-14 hour days. Fernanda was the only agent who I felt actually cared about me as more than just another $ sign. Every agent was emailing, texting me and being pushy. She immediately called me, asked me about all of our needs, wants, etc and took us seriously. I don’t think I’ve ever worked with a better agent. She personally drove to our apartment to pick up a deposit because the transfer was taking a while (not her fault). I have been working with Norma Picard for about a year now. I own multiple properties in Brighton and to me it is very important to find good tenants right away. I wanted to particularly note that Norma is very professional, prompt and helpful every time I ask her for help. Very enthusiastic and very honest professional. NextGen Realty had a great selection of apartments and provided me with a comprehensive tour to show me as many of them as I needed to see until I was able to make a decision comfortably! Kristian Kotov from NextGen Realty expedited the process by emailing me all of the options beforehand and letting me choose which ones I wanted to view before going there to eliminate a lot of options in advance to make the process more efficient. Once I selected my apartment, Kristian was able to process my applications and get me approved within just four hours! That was the fastest turnaround I ever experienced while renting an apartment, and by the next day our lease was already signed! I can't recommend Kristian enough. His process is both efficient and informative, just the way it should be.

Eli at Next Gen helped us out and found us an apartment. Within 48 hours we had secured a beautiful apartment! I have not experienced this type of efficiency in Boston before. Kimberly Donovan helped my roommate and I at the very beginning of our first ever apartment search. I am so happy to have worked with her. Recently I had the pleasure of working with Alexandria, who helped my roommate and I find the perfect place in Brighton. She was extremely helpful in guiding us through the entire rental process, and was very transparent about the steps that needed to be completed in order to sign the lease. We struggled with distance, but Alexandria's expertise (and creativity!) made it seem as though that was not an issue at all. Her response time was impeccable, which truly is something to take in consideration given the competitiveness of this industry, and the leasing process in general. At the beginning she mentioned to "feel free to contact her with any questions that we may have". While this usually is said as a formality, it was a truly genuine offer from Alexandria. We had many questions about the apartments we were seeing and hoping to apply for, especially as people coming from out of the area. Alexandria answered any question that we had, and reached out to other resources if she wanted additional information to provide a more informed and wholesome response. I have never used a realtor before, but have also heard some horror stories that some try to sell you anything at the end of the day! This was ABSOLUTELY not the case with Alexandria. She wanted to know all of our requirements and preferences, and really took each into consideration. I will without a doubt be referring friends in the Boston area to NextGen, and specifically to Alexandria, because she provided such a smooth and reduced-stress experience of the normally crazy apartment search!
