    I've had NewRez for years never really had a problem, I pay my payments on time they pay their stuff on time. Trying to refinance a house with them is by far the WORST experience I have ever experienced. Had they not already done a credit check I would move on to another company. Communication with their refinance coordinators suck. I was told I needed their appraisal team to do my appraisal here it is a month later no appraisal, no update. Talking to them is a waste of time b/c everybody seems to be completely clueless. I've requested to speak to management to see what could be done about the $500+ I spent on an appraisal management refused to speak to me. Meanwhile the loan officer calls me back confused why I'm upset. I was told 48hrs for the turn around time for the appraisal not a month.. sure mistakes happen we are all humans but there's absolutely no communication.

    Awful mortgage experience. NewRez/shell point didn’t pay my property taxes out of my escrow account. I had to pay my taxes to avoid late fees and lien threats. Contacted new Rez customer service about 20 times trying to rectify the situation, and all they ever said was “we need to do an escrow audit.” I submitted all paid tax receipts and fines and was never reimbursed. Finally had to refinance with another lender to get my two years worth of escrow deposits refunded to me. Absolutely terrible experience. Avoid this company.

    I am big on constant communication when conducting business. I understand we can’t all have our own personal loan officer and staff but, communication is key. Especially when you are trying to make sure your closing date is before you receive a late fee or negative mark on your credit. In the beginning when they were trying to refinance my loan, the communication was daily (signing papers and such), as I completed my part the communication died - I had to contact them weekly to request an update…I wanted to make sure I was closing before my mortgage was due and if not, pay it. Once, I kept with communication things began progressing and in the end, closed with a wonderful interest rate and before my mortgage would be considered past the 30 days. The process was fairly easy and when I did speak with the gentleman handling my paperwork they were very nice.

    I never met a more dysfunctional business. It’s easier to do business with the DMV. There is zero follow up or follow thru. There is no accountability or anyone one who takes ownership of the problem and resolves it. I have to make 90 phone calls and no one solves the problem. You can’t escalate to leadership they don’t take calls. Corprate leadership is wont even respond to emails. Nightmare

    This company is either completely incompetent in running things or cares nothing about their customers (or both). Problem 1: New Rez acquired my mortgage six months ago and still has not reported it to the credit bureau. This hurts my credit rating. I have sent several emails and each time received an automated response saying someone would be in touch in 48 hours, but nothing has happened. Problem 2: I received a check that required a co-endorsement from NewRez from my insurance company for a claim. They don't have anyone in any city in the US except Troy, MI who can endorse a check. So I mailed it in 12 days ago, they received it 10 days ago, and still no one has endorsed it, much less put it back in the mail. I cannot believe they can't get a check to the right person, get it signed and back in the mail in 10 days. I can't wait to refinance my mortgage and you better believe it won't be with them.

    Nick Petok has made our experience with Née Rez absolutely horrible. He is childish, EXTREMELY unprofessional, silly, & is a complete liar. He never contacts his clients with updates. He does absolutely nothing. We spend more time calling him than we do handling other necessary things regarding home purchase. I wouldn’t even rate a 1. It’s more like a 0

    I'm the listing agent that my client accepted an offer from a preapproval supplied by Monica Hunolt at Newrez. We got all the way to the closing date and found out the buyer doesn't have his down payment. When I questioned how the buyer got the preapproval- She said: Not everything can be confirmed prior (ie; net proceeds of exiting property if it hasn’t officially closed yet). Big waisted of my seller and everyone's time. Beware of this lender!

    The single worst experience I’ve ever had with a lender in my entire real estate career. Closing has been delayed FOUR times, each the fault of NewRez. The loan officer refuses to communicate with the realtors or with his client. Escalating the issue to management did nothing. I’ve never seen a company that should be servant driven with so little regard for their clients, industry peers, and reputation. I’m actually shocked that they’re still in business when the industry is as competitive as it is. It’s been a truly appalling experience for all involved. Edit based on the response: I contacted them multiple times and never got a return call or email. These people literally do not care.

    When my home loan was transferred to NewRez LLC, I made an inquiry about the possibility of refinancing my home loan to a lower rate. Although it took several months, we were finally able to refinance our home. Once the process started, the closing was very easy. The professional staff was very helpful and answered all our questions during the refinance process.

    I will have to say that this was one of the easiest refinances I have gone through. I am excited for the new rate. I have a huge problem with communication during the loan process and even still now the loan has been closed. I have left many messages to my loan officer and she had replied to my calls once only after leaving 3 to 4 voice messages. Now that the loan is closed, I have having some question on the numbers which do not add up. I have left several more Voice Messages and Text messages for her to call me back. She only texted back once saying she will look into it by Wednesday evening. It is now Friday and have not heard anything. I have contacted Customer Service but they can only help so much. I have yet to hear from the loan officer. This has been the worst communication I have had during a loan refinance I have ever had. And I have refinanced 5 times in the last 13 years. This gave me the feeling that I was not important. I almost decided to go a different route because of lack of communication. This is more of an issue of the loan officer, not a New Rez issue. However, the people working for the company can reflect on the Company itself. Other than the communication issues, the overall process was smooth.

    Absolutely hate this company. Not the Charlotte location in general, just the closest one to me, but this company tried to randomly raise my mortgage 500 DOLLARS a month when my loan got switched from Ditech to NewRez. This company has been absolute hell to work with. You have to do all the work to figure out what happened and how you can try and fix this situation. They don’t ever apparently get the money I’m sending them which I have proof every month I’m sending them this amount. So for the past two months they are saying I haven’t paid. This company is most definitely the worst mortgage company ever. I’m on the phone with them at the end of the month, every single month. I would never recommend this company, and if your mortgage lender sold out to them, I’d recommend refinancing with ANYONE else.

    I had and amazing opportunity working with Jeff. I refinance two properties with Jeff I love his quick response to his emails he is Very knowledgeable, patient and he made me feel very comfortable during the process . I had a small issue during The process I reached out to Jeff I expressed my concerns and Even though this was out of his department he never once made me feel like I couldn’t reached to him . He took the initiative and raised the flag on his end . Thank you NewRez for allowing me refinance my loans . I am very happy.
