I have business and personal banking accounts with the Alexandria NNB. The staff is always friendly and efficient. The lobby and drive-up hours are customer friendly. I also appreciate the convenience of their safety deposit boxes.

Very poor customer care and nobody stands behind their word in the commercial lending. They've changed commercial bankers 5 times in the past 10 years. BE AWARE of the default fee of $999.00 at the end of your loan. The bankers say don't worry about it, we will credit this fee back after the loan has been modified. The truth is.... over a period of 10 years they ended up charging this fee 3 times and not willing to credit it back. I've moved my banking to another bank in Alexandria and I'm much happier.

I’m extremely disappointed. I just opened up my account less than a week ago. I can still count on one hand how many transactions I’ve made. Checked my balance this morning and somehow have been shorted $150! Called the bank to see if maybe it was just a system error, cause the available balance doesn’t add up correctly. Instead of doing the math they just read up the last couple of transactions and expected me to understand my balance. I had to explain that I just opened my account, have made two deposits and used my card 5 different times. I know exactly how much should be in there. Now I’m waiting on a call back cause they couldn’t figure it out over the phone. Now all I wanna do is get my money back and move to a different bank. This is absolutely not ok.

Chris and the staff at Neighborhood National Bank have been great to work with. I have had my business accounts and farm account with them for years and they remind me of the way banks use to be years ago. Very easy to work with.

NNB has a quick response when requesting interest rates and applying for a loan. They have competitive rates. When you deal with their staff in-person, they are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Update, a year later. Still very happy with my bank. No waiting and they are there to help. They don't ask for my I'D cuz they know who I am. Exceptional bank period. Open earlier and later than the other banks. Never a long line. Friendly personal service you can't get at a big bank. Open on minor holidays when all the other banks are closed. No BS, this review is honest.
