I am currently going through the home buying process with NACA. What they offer is unmatched. I've done the research. I'm a veteran and have the option to purchase with my VA loan, but all of my research shows that NACA can't be beat. They get you to view your finances differently to ensure you're able to afford a home. I appreciate that. My counselor is very helpful. You will need patience, but if you do the work, it'll work for you. I'm almost there and I'm so excited!

I am currently going through the NACA home buying process, and so far I like it. NACA mortgage counselors make sure you are well educated about your finances by having you create a budget as well as many other activities. I first heard of NACA years ago and was excited to hear about a program willing to help people get a home and offer assistance from beginning to end. I really liked the fact that they walk you through each step to ensure you are truly ready for homeownership. From the moment I started the workshop and begin working with my counselor everything flowed. My only negative point with this process is that my counselors changed 3-4 times. I am pleased to say each counselor worked exceptionally hard on my file and to understand me as a person. The small delays in the process came from me not being ready/not having certain documents. I am now home ownership ready, and excited to continue the process.

NACA is a wonderful program! The program prepares you for homeownership all the while assisting you with budgeting & saving money as well! It is definitely worth pursuing if you want to become a homeowner. Low interest rates, no down payment or closing costs & its not credit based as well. You still have to be credit worthy & make payments on time. I’ll be closing soon with an interest rate of 3.375%!!! This program works!!!

My husband and I have been diligently working through the NACA program. We had to change Mortgage Counselors but we have a Counselor now who is amazing caring and wants to see us in a house just as much as we do and this matters when you are trying to get to the finish line. It requires alot of work and attention to detail but if you stick to it you will make it to the "here's the keys" 🙂

NACA is an absolutely amazing program. When I speak to people about it, even I still think to myself "it's too good to be true", and immediately reminded that it is not! It's just the product of some wonderfully dedicated people working together to better the community. So far it has been a smooth process. You have to stay on top of it though, or else your process will get slowed down.

The Decatur office has great counselors that will help you get to close with scheduled counseling sessions. You will have to be patient with this process and don't give up. NACA provides the resources and personal tools to help you get home. Make sure you are uploading required documents and saving. It may seem impossible or stressful, but it's rewarding. There are Facebook groups that are very helpful and will answer every question you have. You will not be the only one that has had that question or the same issues. You are not alone. There are thousands of members that can help you also (Facebook Groups).

NACA was responsive and easy to work with from Day 1! As a first time homebuyer, I have a lot of questions and NACA offers a lot of free tools right on their website. I'd recommend this lender to anyone who's serious about home ownership and wealth-building.

I finally finished uploading all my required documents on the members web portal and On 5/11/2021 I had my first counseling session. The session was a little over an hour long, the counselor went over all my documents and gave me an action plan list. The session was very informative, I left the zoom meeting with my counselor feeling overwhelmed and discouraged because of all of the work i still have to do and documents to upload. i am gonna stay encouraged and positive so i can get to Home Ownership. the program is great if you have all your documents in order.

We attended our first counseling session this past Wednesday(04/13/2022) and it was very eye opening in regards to how we have to adjust our finances to be NACA qualified. But I understand that it will show that we are serious about owning a home and are willing to do the work to show that we are committed.

My husband and I started this process in Spring of 2021. We had our 1st intake appointment in September of 2021 (we delayed ourselves by trying to go a different route), and we have our follow up appointment tomorrow. We are prayerful and hopeful that we will be submitted for qualification. This process has taught us so much patience and delayed gratification. Most importantly, we have learned how to effectively manage our finances not only so that we can buy a house, but so that we maintain it. We do not want to be house rich and cash poor. I hear so many stories about NACA, both good and bad. But my take away is a) try it for yourself and b) your success mostly lies within your ability to follow your counselor's advice, be organized and submit documents on time, and effectively manage your finances. No matter how long it takes, we are going to stick with NACA because no other program out there can beat it. With no down payment, below market interest rate, no closing costs, and no PMI, it's a no-brainer for us. We also have the option to buy down our interest rate. I will tell everyone I know with a dream of home ownership to try NACA. What you gain from this program is worth far more than gold!

I attended the workshop on last year Dec 2021, uploaded documents that were required and recieved our first counseling date on Jan 2022. After my husband and I had our first counseling date in Jan, which Mr. Luke created an action plan for us to get started on. So far everything is going well and we are excited to go to our next counseling session, which we pray and hope it will tell us we are NACA qualified.

I had my first housing counseling today and it went well. They will be working with me and my husband to become homeowners. O am excited for this path. I need to work on some of my debts but NACA is there to help me through.

So far not too happy with NACA. It's been over a year trying to get a home. I completed the workshop in August 2020. My first appt with my counselor was supposed to be Jan. 2021 and no one ever contacted me. One of the Cust. Service Rep finally scheduled me with a counselor in July 2021. I'm wondering will I have to wait another year once everything is forwarded to the underwriters. Alot of people told me their experiences with NACA and now I'm starting to see for myself. It shouldn't take years to get your dream home. I'm not understanding what's the point of writing a review as part of the process with purchasing a home.

I have had a positive interaction with NACA thus far. The staff who lead the workshop were very knowledgeable and provided great advice and history of the program. The counselor that I was assigned to is very professional and knowledgeable of the program and its requirements as well as the housing market. My counselor is also extremely helpful and responsive to the questions I have.

You do have to be very organized when it comes to your documents and what is needed to get to the next step. I was sold already when I heard no closing costs, and pmi insurance. I am very excited to continue the process with them and recommend anyone to look into the program if your looking for your dream home!

I will say the journey has been quite a long process for me however I am in no rush as I trust NACA will help me get to my destination. Also, keep in mind I was not ready to be a homeowner but NACA is helping me get there. My counselor has been forthcoming and honest with me about what it would take to become a homeowner. I don't think there is another program like it if you are patient and can stay the course you will be rewarded!

The NACA home buying program is great for first time home buyers! I’m working with Tumi Compere and she has been amazing to work with. She has guided me through the process and are almost at the finish line. If you’re interested in getting as much assistance as possible, NACA is the way to go!

To everyone who is hesitant to start the process.. don’t. Customer service through the phone is not the greatest at least to my experience but don’t let that discourage you. Once having the appointment with your counselor and starting the process it all works out from there. My counselor was straightforward, quick and professional. I am still in the process into getting a home with them and feel confident that it will happen soon. Thank you NACA for helping me take the first steps into buying a home.

NACA is great for first time home buyer’s! My experience with NACA is 60/40, it’s been a VERY long journey to get this far. I have gone through 3 counselors, all which were great. My first 2 counselors left the company, I’m praying I will keep this counselor to the end because they recommend different things along the way but still have the same end goal!! I believe this process for me could’ve been over if I only had 1 counselor. I can honestly say that my second counselor kept me on my toes and got me as far as I am today and the new counselor will take me all the way to my NEW HOME!! They don’t use your credit score, they go off of your debit to income ratio so it forces you to focus on things that you have on your credit report which in turn will boost your credit score. Even if I choose to go a different route, I’ll be able to do so because my credit score has jumped tremendously since starting this process. I was already saving before starting the process but it forced me to have better savings/spending habits which in turn also boost my savings and helped me create a budget that’s perfect for me!! The NACA process is far from easy!! 3 things you must have while going through this process is patience, time, and discipline!!

I was excited to meet my counselor and start the process. My counselor was very helpful and patient. I have some homework items to complete but I know I will make it through the process and become NACA approved. NACA keep up the great work!

As a first time homebuyer, I was nervous to go through NACA because of some of the comments regarding the program. After researching more and going to the initial workshop my mind was changed. Hearing about the work NACA does to assist people like me in the home buying process made me want to join this program. My counselor has been very helpful with helping me in this process and I can’t for home ownership!

I've been a member of NACA since 2019, and even though I was qualified after my first meeting with my mortgage counselor, my biggest challenge has been finding the best home for me. Covid had thrown me off track, but I've been aggressively looking for my new home since the summer of 2021. The best part about my gap of no activity is that I was able to pay off all of my debt except for my student loans; the worst part is that the housing market hasn't been in favor of buyers for years now, so my search has become extremely difficult. But I'm optimistic and feel like I'm almost to the finish line. Based on my experience thus far, I offer these words of encouragement: don't give up because achieving a NACA mortgage is one of the best financial decisions you will make. If you're not having a fair and reasonable experience with the Real Estate Department (RED), you can work with outside realtors of your choice and encourage them to take the Expanding Your Business with the NACA Program course to learn more about the program (realtors earn 3 CE credits upon completion). Lastly, expand your knowledge about NACA beyond its website; my knowledge-seeking venture has led me to the Diamond Mine Real Estate YouTube page, which offers additional testimonies and experiences from real estate agents and members of the NACA program.

NACA truly offers the best mortgage product In the country with No Money down and No closing cost with that said, in high NACA demand areas such as NYC or Atlanta dealing with there process will require a lot of patience. However if you fellow all the steps in the NACA workbook the process will be 100%%% smoother.

We (my husband Anderson and I) don’t have any complaints. We understand that the process will be lengthy, but we’ve deemed it worth it, after learning about the conventional home buying process. Going through NACA will help us save over 30k!! That is not to be taken lightly. Another thing that has made our process simpler is the fact that our counselor is AMAZING! We are in Atlanta and we were skeptical based on previous reviews we read. She is professional, responsive, warm and knowledgeable on the process. We understand all that is required and we are also receiving additional tips on how to save more money!! We get that NACA will not be for everyone and that is understandable, but for my husband and I, we feel like it’s for us. We have the time required to go through the process as our lease doesn’t expire until March of 2022. We started our process over 6 months ago and we are one step closer to buying our home! We are super excited! I’ve already told a friend of mine about the program and I hope it works out for them also. Rent is just ridiculous at this point and it’s about time to put the money into something that will work for us!! We are grateful for NACA!!

Going into the home buying process in this time of inflation and financial climate felt impossible. I was told about NACA from a friend and decided to try it out. From the initial workshop to talking to a counselor has really taken the stress out of the unknown. Now something I thought was never possible is within reach, thanks to NACA. NACA has been a great resource in educating me through the homebuying process. I totally recommend NACA. I've been working with my counselor to get all our document in order. She gave us an action plan and went over the details fully. During our zoom meeting she helped us to stay on track and get everything done. After 40 days we are ready to submit our competed application and hear what they have to say. I am currently going through the NACA process to purchase my first home. Some of the reviews I initially came across discouraged me and I considered going the traditional mortgage route. I then thought about all of the helpful information that was provided during the initial workshop that all participants have to complete. This program was created to not only prepare you for homeownership, but to teach you how to be financially literate. A lot of adults did not come from a family that provided them these very important life skills. I am very excited for what is to come by competing this process. My counselor Shacarrha has been a pleasure to work with and I can tell that she wants me to accomplish my goal just as much as I want to accomplish it. My husband and I are currently in the NACA process for homeownership. We would recommend all persons looking to purchase a home - 1st or not - to use NACA. Their process to homeownership is a rewarding experience. You cannot find a better one-on-one communicator than your dedicated NACA counselor.

I have heard about NACA for a while now, in the past year I saw them on the news and decided to pursue for myself to become a first time homebuyer. Due to COVID I attended the virtual workshop on a Saturday and was very motivated by the testimonies of current NACA clients. Due to the high demand for their services and a strained housing market, there is a extreme delay in getting intake meetings for example my initial intake meeting was in August 2021, my next meeting was not until January 2022. So when you finally do get your opportunity to meet with your NACA representative I recommend you make the time meaningful, have all your required documents available if possible i.e. tax returns, W2, pay stubs, bank statements, etc. Also get an outline of your next steps so you can be prepared for your next meeting.

This organization is striving to do some very important work and succeeding a lot by all the testimonials I hear, including some personal friends. My experience isn't living up to things so far. My first appointment (that I had to wait 4 months for) was canceled day-of because the counselor was out of the office. When my appointment was canceled I received a message saying call back to be rescheduled for another day within the same week. They instead rescheduled me for 3 months later. No one I talked to would help me fix that. In the time that passed, the market completely changed and availability of the home type I want in my range is almost nil. I now have a follow up 4 months later (so a full year total of time put into this) to continue the approval process. The counselor herself is kind and thoughtful, but so busy it's nearly impossible to get help or answers between appointments. They're in high demand because what they offer is a high value. Unfortunately that high demand means people become numbers sometimes even though that 100% not what they want. Phone reps vary wildly in whether you're able to get answers beyond the scripted party line and the waits are long like 40+ minutes. I want to increase this rating and look forward to getting to do so as I continue working with them. Otherwise, I'll have to go another, more expensive route or put home-ownership on hold indefinitely.

You can tell that your counselors really want to help you and get you into the right house for you! My counselor has been VERY flexible and helpful with me. She tells me exactly what I need to do and what needs to be completed. I can't wait to get into my new house!

My husband and I are going through the NACA Program right now . So far our experience with the NACA program has been pretty good overall. Although I had my first intake and loved my mortgage counselor , we were assigned a new counselor. The counselor that I have now is super amazing as well! During our intakes she explains everything detail to detail. She never rushes the process. She is very proactive with answering emails (That’s a must). She stresses to us to make sure that whatever is on our action plan that we get it done so we can have successful intakes. I am definitely ready to see the finish line . I know that my husband and I will not regret going through with the NACA program!

Consider NACA when looking for mortgage. NACA offers very competitive mortgage conditions, and the NACA counselors are very helpful. The process takes some time but it is well worth it.

I attended NACA's workshop on May 14 and it was very informative. Each speaker was knowledgeable about the different options NACA offers. And now I am able to make an informed decision on my journey to buying a house. Thank you NACA.

I am at the beginning of my NACA journey but so far it has been a positive experience. The first workshop was very informative and The representative I spoke with on the phone to get my intake session scheduled was very helpful. She was able to get me an appointment within 30 days and she let me know what my file was missing in order to make this experience as smooth as possible. I am hoping to be ready for house shopping by April 2022.

I am currently going through the NACA process and so far so good! You hear a lot of horror stories about this program, but I think it’s because people don’t do the work BEFORE starting this process. I’ve had one meeting with my counselor Eric Simpson on 11/19/21 and we talked about me being on my next appointment 1/21/22 . I started getting my affairs in order a year ago . You have to think buying a home will be the biggest purchase of your life so you have to be ready mentally, emotionally and financially. NACA will prepare you for that you just have to be patient and keep your goals in mind.

I have been working through the intake process, and I'm super grateful for the opportunity to be a part of this program. The steps I'm taking now will impact my family and create a better life for me and my son. I can't wait to be a NACA Homebuyer soon!

I started with NACA in February 2022 after watching a Youtube video about obtaining a mortgage loan for with no closing costs or down payments. I attended the initial workshop which discussed the history and vision behind the organization which was very empowering. They also discuss their program and its steps. So far in the program I have met with a mortgage counselor who communicates well. Although, we met 2 months after the first webinar and not face-to-face, I am happy that I can call or email with questions about my progress in the program and he is quick to respond. Moving forward, the expectations from the program seem a little rigid (i.e. lots of documentation of financial habits and volunteer services) but I think this helps with my overall discipline as far as budgeting and helping the community in impactful ways, especially with the current housing market we are in. Looking forward to the journey and updating this review when it is over.

We had our intake session with NACA a week ago, and our counselor was wonderful to work with. Our paperwork has been processed quickly, and we're looking forward to finding our first home with NACA!

I was introduced to NACA Steps to Homeownership Program by my neighbor. After completing the first workshop in September 2021, we had to wait until January 2022 for our first meeting with our mortgage counselor. Our counselor Chante was very through, pleasant, and professional. My husband and I are working on our action plan to meet our goals until the 2nd meeting in March. I wish the process is quicker but it has been a great program to improve our financial management. I have been recommending the program to my friends. * update on 4/29/22 We decided not to go with NACA in March after finding out that our counselor left position without giving us ANY notice. We were almost at the end of process but suddenly found that our counselor's email address was invalid. I regret wasting our time with qualification process. I would NEVER recommend NACA to other people.

We joined NACA almost 2 years ago and it has been a great learning experience. Please be patient and make sure to send all the required information on time. We wanted to give up so many times but just keep the faith and trust your MC.
