We refinanced two properties and were happy with the results and interest rates. Our process took quite some time due to many folks choosing to refinance at the same time, our appraisal took five weeks but that was just local conditions. We received decent communication and responses when we reached out. Many documents were loaded through the app and that was convenient. I don't have a lot of experience to compare between mortgage companies as we had not refinanced for years but we are glad to have it behind us and happy with the overall process.

Worst experience ever, poor communication, took over 5 months to complete, charged me to pay down rates after 3 months in the process supposedly due to my income (my income amount and its sources was disclosed up front to avoid this from happening, everything matched, it just was someone’s mistake accepting the income at first making me pay for it later), manager Jamil Jones stepped in to diffuse the situation and made it worse, promised to pay for some of the cost that accrued due to them taking too long to close but ended up backing out once they made me restart the process after 3 months. Jamil Jones is rude and condescending and needs to learn how to properly communicate with customers. If it weren’t for me being 3 months into the process and spending countless hours working on this I would of gone with a different mortgage company. I thought going with a big mortgage name like Omaha mutual would deliver on an iconic customer experience but it is either the company that is poorly managed or I just happened to get the two most unqualified people to help me. Look somewhere else, it’s not worth the headache.

Working with Ben on my refi seemed effortless on my part because he held my hand through it. I found Ben too be very professional and kind. It would be my pleasure to recommend him. Thanks again Ben

Matt Farrar was great to work with. This was the first time I have refinanced and was nervous to go through with it for fear of not knowing what I'm doing. After submitting all of my financial information, Matt thoroughly explained the estimated new mortgage numbers and timeline expectation for the full refinancing process. I would highly recommend the Mutual of Omaha mortgage company for any of your loans. We worked with Kyle Lott and his assistant Ashley. They are very professional and friendly. Having worked with Kyle before we knew he would guide us through the refi process and make it as easy as possible. They explained everything to us and kept us updated. Great service, real people available to talk to! Rapid responses and returned calls. Fast, competitive rates, they service their own mortgages. We closed in a month which is unheard of these days.
