I have a policy with this company. Well know of course, but I can't understand why they can't put their contact numbers on the insurance brochures. I had to google them to find their customer service number. Not very convenient.

Very fast claims processing and no need to mail in the death certificates. Got the check in less than a week. Highly recommended!

This is in my opinion the BEST insurance company to deal with when making a claim on a life insurance product. I deal with life insurance companies on a daily basis as a funeral director. At a time in folks life when everything seems to be wrong, this company seems to understand and makes the claim process extremely pleasant and easy. For a majority of our claims with this company, it is as simple as one phone call (no claim form(s), assignment form(s), etc) and a check is in the mail the next day to the beneficiary and/or the funeral home. If I could I would give many more stars to this company, as I always sigh a little relief when a family hands me a Mutual of Omaha policy to help cover the funeral expenses. Many other insurance companies should take note of the operating procedures of their claims department. Well done Mutual of Omaha, I hope you continue to provide this level of customer service to your clients.

No respect from these people. I would give it a zero rating if I could.

The right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. I get several "privacy policy updates" a year. I got two this week. Every time, I fill out the form, write, "do not share anything ever" on the form, provide my own envelope, buy my own stamp, and mail the form back to them! Whey can't they keep track of this stuff? Why do *I* have to do all the work? Why isn't this an online option? If they can't manage this tiny little thing....then why should I trust them with my life savings? eeegads!

I HAVE A CRITICAL ILLNESS POLICY FROM THEM THEY DENY EVERY CLAIM DENIED BOTH CRITICAL SURGERY CLAIMS CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE THEY GET ANGRY WHEN THEY ARE ASKED FOR DOCUMENTATION AND IT TOOK ME OVER A YEAR TO GET A COPY OF MY POLICY AFTER MULTIPLE REQUEST. ADJUSTERS CLAIM THEY RETURN CALL BUT NOT VOICEMAILS NOR MISSED CALLS WERE RECEIVED. THIS POLICY IS NOT WORTH THE PAPER IT IS WROTE ON

Watched employees nearly smear a construction worker into the pavement. UPT- 374. All employees walk across the streets without even looking as if they own the public streets. Call to inform the company, and they don’t accept calls without a policy number. They must give out FREE LIFE INSURANCE. CLEARLY DONT CARE ABOUT THE LIVES OF OTHERS.

Abysmal customer service. I had a problem with them more than a year ago, not related to money. I called Mutual of Omaha back then and spoke with a guy who assured me the problem would be taken care of. Today I learned that they STILL have not resolved this problem which is THEIR fault! Terrible customer service. The worst. Stay away from Mutual of Omaha. Update: I called Mutual of Omaha again. I asked to speak with a supervisor since the guy I spoke with 1.5 years ago was a regular CSR. I explained my situation to the supervisor and I asked her why the previous guy did not keep his word. She had a few explanations which were sketchy. But she did assure me that she personally would resolve my problem. Let's hope so. For now I'm giving them two more stars. But it will take some time to see whether they actually do what they said they will do again.

Am I the only one or could it be happening to you too? Like a dummy I allowed MO to draft premiums from my bank account and so far there have been 4 unauthorized drafts on different draft dates that have caused insufficient funds. I have talked with a rep at MO and they said if I had the paperwork showing where it was their mistake that they would look into fixing it. NOT GOOD ENOUGH! I am withdrawing my life ins policy and will be talking with my bank about stopping payments. I can understand the first time being my fault but 4 other times? 4 different dates? NO WAY! In the mean time, I am "thinking" about launching an investigation only because the rep that I spoke with did not want to actually tell me much.

I had AARP, but they let me go for insufficient funds.
