My mother and Dad purchased an annuity from Mountain America Investment Services. My dad recently passed away and my Mom did not have enough liquid money to cover the funeral. She asked me to help liquidate the Annuity with Mountain America / LPL financial. My mom said the person who sold them the Annuity was Michael Huerta. When I call the number provided, it says it is Mountain America Investment Services -- Jordan Curtis. On Dec. 20, I called for help and Bryson said they would send a fed ex with the form my Mom needed to fill out to get the money. It was urgent for us but the fed ex never came. Finally on December 28 I called and discovered they never sent it. Ultimately we were told that my Mom is not even a named beneficiary! After a tremendous amount of effort and working directly with the Annuity company we have resolved the issue, but LPL was an obstacle rather than a source of help during this difficult time.

This branch has been nothing but awesome. I had to start over with my credit & Tyler Turner, the branch manager, was a huge help. As a result, my credit is back to where it belongs. The rest of the branch personnel are simply the best, and go above & beyond.

My cards were stolen. John Shane and Kristine were so helpful and kind. They very considerate of my situation and helped me get new cards. I had to go through a lot with another bank and the driver’s license place but Mountain America was the easiest and kindest

For some reason Tom (Bountiful branch) almost always is the one that takes care of me when I come in. He always greets me with a HUGE smile, very calm, and well mannered. I’m so grateful that he was able to print out new credit cards, and debit cards for me...I was so happy, because soon after I was able to pay all my bills. Thank you TOM!!!💯💯💯

We had an amazing experience with their loan officer Ashlynn. We needed a last minute car loan and she got all the paper work and everything ready and approved in one day. We were able to get the car that evening, it was awesome! This is the best Credit Union to work with, we have had two car loans with them. And my kids have great interest rates on their savings accounts.

Update- two months after my last bad experience, I deposited a cash into my account but it never showed up in the acct. I’ve called- no answer and left a message that was not returned. If there was a problem with the check I expect that MACU would reach out to me. This is unacceptable and I’m currently looking for a new bank after being here for 10 years. Usually great! However, last time I made a cash deposit, the teller sent a receipt for $100 less than I sent in. Luckily I caught it and questioned her on it. Her response did not bring confidence… she very nonchalantly said ‘oh it’s sitting right here’ and didn’t offer an apology. Guess I’m lucky I paid attention 😬

Very friendly staff! A teller named Chelsie went out of her way to help me get my on line banking set up. It was giving me problems.

Andrew helped us get a replacement for a lost debit card. We then asked about the MACU credit card, he helped us get enough to cover a balance transfer of another credit card that had a higher interest rate. Then he got our RV loan transferred to MACU. Now I have all of my bank transactions in one place.

Leslie was extremely friendly. She is full of knowledge and gave a lot of helpful tips.
