Monterey Credit Union N Main St, Salinas

Horrible company. Don't bother giving them any of your money or your business. I had an account for around 3 months and they never bothered to give me a debit card. I came in after a month to see why I hadn't received the card then they said they resolved the issue. 2 months later still no card and went to close my account with them and they let me know the card had never been ordered. Big waste of time dealing with these people. Also they didn't bother to tell me that they have $25 charge for closing the account before 6 months so they basically stole $25 dollars from me. You have been warned.

Twice I went into the Salinas branch and they did not order what they stated they ordered. First were checks, 3 weeks later I go into to the monterey branch to check the status on my checks and they stated that they were never ordered. Recently I had a fraudulent charge on my account and went into the salinas branch to cancel my card and order a new one. I call 8 days later to monterey branch and they state AGAIN that my card was never ordered. I don't know what is wrong with their computers or if the people there aren't trained for their job.

Horrible service, my husband went to ask for letter he needed to travel. One the lady helping him stated she didn't know spanish. As soon as I spoke on a speaker phone english, all of a sudden she spoke english..hmmm. NOW I know why they are score a 2.6 on google!

I went in today. I needed to pull some cash out because I misplaced my debit card. I went up to the teller Brittany and she didn't even bother to ask for I.D......ridiculous. For all she could have known, I wasn't even the account holder.

Terrible service, I don’t recommend anyone to come here. My dog could’ve done a better job at this. They try speak just in English even though they speak Spanish as well. You don’t have to sign anything you don’t want.

Worst credit union I’ve been to!! I use bay federal, and their customer service is much better. Made me wait for 3 hours on a car loan, this loan was already approved, yet had to wait with the buyer, because the managers were all on lunch, we gave up and used Wells Fargo instead.

Worst customer service in Salinas. The loan department treat the customer as if they are doing them favors. It is like they are forced to work! I think they need to be replaced !! Sham on them! I don’t know how they got hired there

Considering switching CU from Santa Clara County Federal CU to Monterey CU. Monterey CU was able to offer me a lot better interest rate for my vehicle than who I bank with now. Only draw back are the hours and closed on weekends... 🤔😞

I made a car payment and they put it in my checking account. Then they called me to tell me I was late on my payment.

Horrible service, had a charge of $29 to my account that I never authorized and said it wasn’t there problem. Doesn’t work with the customer. Not worth the time.
