Money XChange W 1st St, Duluth

My wife and i have been doing business with money xchange for 3or4 years now and the owner is an awesome guy that has gone out of his way to meet with us even if it was sunday or after normal busines hours and always provides good rates as well..

These guys are common law criminals! The sign says they only charge you 3% for payroll checks, and since I was always in a rush to get in and out, I didn't seem to notice I was being charged 6% my last three pay periods. When I asked the thinner older guy in glasses why was I being charged 6%, he didn't even really acknowledge my question while cashing my check for only 3% this time. I asked him, why was I charged 6% the other times, he says, "Well it showed up in the computer system this time as 6% too, I just cashed it for 3%. I then ask him, what was to happen about all the other times I was being charged 6%. He asks what would you like done about it? I stated to him in an courteous manner, It would only be fare not to be charged at all, being I had been charged for four separate check cashing fees. He then snatched the money from under the window, and pushes my ID back and told me he doesn't need my business. Well, hopefully you can take this as a learning lesson on my behalf, and I hope he can survive without your business too. Ohhhh, and make sure you get a receipt! They never offer one......

Sold some gift cards here for a reasonable amount. Glad to be getting cash back. Great business.

He's a grumpy old guy who doesn't know the meaning of service.

Exceptional service. The owner has gone above any expectations of professional courtesy to his customers. Easy to get to location. I will be happy to do business with this location any day.

Went in to cash a check, employees were very rude. asked me what my check was for... who does that? gave me my check back said he "wanted nothing to do with it" after not informing him of my checks purpose. bad location, poor customer service, disgusting atmosphere. highly recommend looking for other places if in need of check cashing.
