I feel very fortunate to have been connected to Mike Poyntz through my realtor. Although Mike is not in the same location as where I live or where I wanted to buy two homes, it didn’t matter. He was incredibly accessible and knowledgeable about the area. He’s the type of person that I bet would research your area even if he wasn’t there. I had reached out to Mike a couple of years ago to begin the conversation about my long-term real estate investing goals, and during that initial hour-long conversation I felt he truly listened to me, understood me, answered my questions and concerns patiently, and walked me through our next steps. Fast forward two years, and when I was ready to make the leap, he was ready to catch me. His title of “Loan Advisor” is very accurate. He really is a great mentor and advisor. I consider him my go-to guy for real estate investing. He doesn’t overpromise, he’s down-to-earth, and he’s realistic as he goes through the process with you, whether that’s about a time-frame or how much you can afford. As mentioned, I bought two houses that closed within a week of each other, and he was put to the test with some challenging relationships, but he showed grace, good character, and common sense through the whole thing, AND he made both the deals happen quickly! I truly feel like I have found a wonderful financial real estate advisor in Mike, and I know this is the beginning a long, happy (and abundant) relationship. Thank you, Mike!

Mike Poyntz was one of the only positive things to come out of our first home buying experience back in 2016 so when it came time to look for our next home he was the first person I called. Actually, he called me to do a check-in and we got to talking and he quickly laid out our options. He is always looking out for our best interests, explains everything in a very thorough and easy-to-digest way, and he's really fun to work with. He is also only a text or e-mail away and always makes time to talk if you have any questions, or if you're like me and need something to be explained for a 2nd or 3rd time. Mike was absolutely amazing to work with. He treated my wife and I as if we were his own family. His response time was less than 5 minutes for any and all questions I had, he very gently explained the home buying process so that we could understand. We were able to call the home ours in 30 days and we used a VA home loan. We just bought our first home and it probably wont be the last, We will probably use Mike's services again in the future. Mike was great during our refi. We have bought and sold, then bought again, and now refi’d with Mike. He has been very patient and thorough with us through all these processes. For this refi he explained all our options and found us the best deal possible that fits both our short-term and long-term goals. We really appreciate Mike and his team’s hard work for us. Dealing with buying a home can be stressful and in my experience mortgage brokers and low information realtors can make the process more frustrating, but Mike Poyntz @ Central Coast lending takes this to a whole new level. I waited over a year to write this review and I'm only doing it as a service to others. What's most insidious about his service is that he gives you the illusion that he's a professional with that "tell me about it" attitude. Mike's amount of over confidence is only matched by his ability to under perform. When this happens and he knows he has you locked into the deal the tone starts to shift to "what are you going to do about it?". It's not like you have a ton of great options when it comes to brokers but Mike Poyntz @ Central Coast Lending should be at the bottom of your list.

Mike is an expert in his field and has the ability to make your experience with him understandable. I highly recommend him.
