Fine for personal banking, but would not recommend anything further than that. If my auto loan wasn’t already in the process (that has been made a million times worse) than I would close all my accounts here. Haven’t returned emails. Only helpful people are at their OKC location. Can’t wait to be done with them.

I am an new customer that came from a large bank; Wells Fargo. I was fed up with the scandals Wells Fargo was facing. Today was my first time going into the bank for service, I was making a withdrawal. The associate at the counter are not as friendly, or at least friendly looking. At Wells Fargo the staff were always smiling. At this bank it’s the opposite. Everyone gets there job done which is great but a smile makes the experience better. I never realized how important a smile was at a bank until I didn’t see one. This is a bank and they get he job done but don’t expect the kinda service ( a smile) you’d expect from bigger banks.

Last straw. Midfirst has lots of friendly employees & nice branches, I recommend the staff at 7th st & Thunderbird in Phoenix if you are going to deal with them. However, they do not cater to business customers needs in areas that are far more important than friendliness. Any time I need to conduct banking at another branch I have the most ridiculous problems when compared to any other modern bank. When visiting this branch I had unexpected issues that were going to severely delay my ability to do business. When voicing my frustration to the manager, Steve, he tried to pass the buck & really didn't care about my concerns. After exhausting my patience in attempting to explain my frustrations I finally dropped an F-bomb. That actually got me a result. Why should it come to that, to meet my needs? Why should I have to lose my patience to convey my point? And, why does the impossible suddenly become possible, at that point? I deposited a check for 4,000 dollars & after way too much hassle, I was able to withdraw a mere 200 dollars above my balance before the deposit. A measly 200 dollars will cost Midfirst my company banking business. When trying to apologize for the F-bomb, Steve made it very clear he did not accept my apology, he gave a poor handshake, he did not accept any responsibility as a manager to address my concerns, & he basically suggested that I should bank elsewhere. So, thank you, Steve, that is what I will do.

Any problems I have are always solved quickly that’s what I like about this bank. Been using it for awhile. They even upgraded my account so I get a better interest-rate just for keeping my money there

I started banking here when I was 16 years old. My stepfather owned his own business and did most of his banking through Midfirst. More recently, he has moved states and had to switch banks due to there not being any branches where he lives now. As soon as he closed his account, my personal experience with Midfirst took a turn for the worst. A very noticeable decline in customer service was an early warning sign, and to this day I have a sour taste in my mouth about this bank. In addition, the overdraft fees are astounding. If you ever think you might get in a rough patch, just know this bank is in the business of profiting off of that. During a transitional period where I wasn't working steadily and was in the process of moving for a promotion, I was charged around $300 in the span of 2 weeks. I understand that I am at fault for going in the red in the first place, but imagine working 60 hour work weeks to get back on track only to be told that at best they could waive $60 in fees. When I expressed displeasure and a desire to move banks due to this, I was told by the branch manager named Steve that they wouldn't even waive the $60. Another point to bring up is infrastructure (ease of use with mobile app, technology implemented to make banking more convenient). I think this bank sells itself as having a more customer oriented feel in exchange for worse infrastructure compared to bigger banks. In my recent experience, it's the worst of both worlds. I feel the weight of financial stress being exacerbated by worsening banking experiences lift off my shoulders as I move towards any other establishment.

Because I couldn't put no stars as an option. I've never been with a bank where every move that I make and things that I pay for are used as a consequence. I really dislike this bank. And if you would like to have some kind of control over your account this bank is not for you. They are HORRIBLE and have HORRIBLE customer service. You call the line on the back of the card, they know nothing! They transfer you to the physical bank, so what is their purpose? I finally was fed up with the bull and wasting my breath. At this rate they won't be in business for the long haul.

This specific bank is a perfect example of unprofessionalism. There are many other banks in the area. I’d advise you to try anywhere else besides Midfirst Bank. They are idiots.
